Design of a 22 kV network in the Lipno area after the integration of the new 110/22 kV transformer station
Žižlavský, Jakub ; Koudelka, Jan (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a new 110/22 kV substation in Horní Planá. The substation design addresses, for example, the issue of reducing the load of surrounding power lines from 110/22 kV substations, reducing the size of short-circuit ratios in the surrounding system, reliability and continuity of supply, etc. Furthermore, loads of individual outgoing feeders from the surrounding substations are analyzed, in case they will be connected to a new substation. Following this, the work also addresses the related new decay points of the lines, which are determined by calculation and simulation in the Grizzly program. The simulation results could be used to compare the current load status of individual lines and contribute to the assessment of the possible benefits of both the new substation and the implementation of other modern technologies for faster and more efficient measurement and handling during operating and fault conditions.
High voltage power supply for dielectric strength
Klejma, Michael ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with a choice of proper solution of high votlage source with regulated DC output in range of 0 – 50 kV. Source will be used for testing of electrical insulators, with function of displaying voltage at which breakdown of the insulator occured. Due to low output current up to 1 mA it is possible to use a cascade voltage multiplier as suitable solution. The voltage multiplier is powered by switching-mode power supply with high voltage pulse transformer. The inverter uses single-acting innovative topology that enables a supply of alternating current to the voltage multiplier. This solution is simple, but an analysis of operation is difficult, as will be described in details in this thesis. Realization and testing of the source has been successfully done, but the source had problems with its own EMC. After debugging, requested parameters have been achieved.
Proposal of the reconstruction of 0,4 kV distribution network in a specific area
Fojtík, Martin ; Beneš, Jan (referee) ; Blažek, Vladimír (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with the problem of distribution electrical network with a focus on solving the steady operation of the electrical distribution network for E.ON Brno - Lisen. The calculation is made by using BIZON PAS Off-Line. The first part of thesis is specialized on the distribution of individual LV and MV networks. The second part of thesis is specialized on the general calculation of the steady operation distribution network and describe criteria for the design and evaluation of this network. In the practical part is calculate existing network in selected area in which is located 53 distribution transformers. In the final part is evaluate the status of existing network and perform design optimization and assessment of this network.
Design and optimization of laboratory HV models
Kočí, Zbyněk ; Vyčítal, Václav (referee) ; Varmuža, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is focuses on the operation of the distribution system in the Czech Republic and the use of new types of cables in the world. It describes the characteristics, division and use of overhead lines and cable lines. This work also deals the division and control DC networks, their advantages and disadvantages. In superconducting cables is engaged in their development, advantages and disadvantages. Describes their application and use in the future. It also describes the parameters affecting the properties of the ropes and the cables of the AC and DC wiring and ways to mitigate the negative effects on the ropes and on the surrounding environment. Work deals with measurement and counting of the laboratory models for their optimization. Finally, the work describes a proposal of new laboratory model for the measurement and stating components, which are needed for optimization models and the production of a new model
Development of voltage instrument transformer resistible against higher harmonics
Mihályi, Róbert ; Odehnal, Martin (referee) ; Bušov, Bohuslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes the basic principles of transformer operation in the first part. The following chapters focus on issue of higher harmonic frequencies. Then it describes the basic design and principles of instrument transformers, which are the main subject of this work. At present, higher harmonic frequencies are becoming more and more common in electrical networks. Therefore, this work tries to bring new knowledge in the issue of higher harmonic frequencies in instrument transformers. The last chapters describe the computational design of an instrument transformer that resists higher harmonic frequencies. This transformer must be able to transfer these frequencies to the secondary winding. It was necessary to study the standards and technical literature related to this topic in order to create the proposal.
Design of placing high voltage electrodes of the projection set of electron microscope on insulating rods
Pavlas, Ondřej ; Musil, Vladislav (referee) ; Hejátková, Edita (advisor)
In it´s first part, this presented master´s thesis focuses on the problematics of actions taking place in dielectric materials and phenomenons on the surface of real insulators placed in electric field. This research is followed by selection and rating of appropriate ceramic materials for the actual design of the metal – ceramic assembly. The greatest emphasis is given to design of the optimal configuration of the insulator and electrode, which is supported by simulations from the software that implements finite element method. Eventually, the high voltage tests of the assembly used for measuring leakage currents are performed.
Testing of Surge Arresters
Jeřábek, Lukáš ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is devoted to metal oxide surge arresters. After historical and theoretical introduction, which explains their principles and describes their characteristical properties, analysis of the standard IEC 60099-4 and testing according to the standard with focus on the type tests follows. This chapter is also amended with review of the standard's imperfections and with its most probable future development. The work concludes with a market survey, a review of the largest manufacturers and a comparison of their products.
Technical design of extensive replacement of overhead lines by HV cables in given distribution area
Bracek, David ; Kolacia, Tomáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the technical design of extensive replacement of overhead lines by high voltage cables in the given distribution area. In its first part the thesis is focused on the survey of the concerning legislation and technical standards, which must be followed during making technical design documentation. It also mentions the processes which precede the replacement itself. There are also the operational differences between the overhead lines and the high voltage cables in the first part, too. The second part is focused on the technical description of the given area, the technical design of the replacement by high voltage cables and the realization of calculation, which is important as a base for further realization of technical arrangements. The consideration of technical feasibility and economic efficiency are also contained in the second part.
Technical proposal of distribution system using 22 kV instead of 35 kV
Kopunec, Kristián ; Matouš, Milan (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the connection of the Svratecko area with the distribution network of the company E.ON Distribuce, a.s.. The theoretical part describes the energy legislation and the individual standards on which the thesis is based. It also describes the concept of a 22 kV high voltage network. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the creation of line models in the program E-vlivy, which will supply the Svratecko area and the model of the monitored area. Outputs from the thesis will be used by E.ON Distribuce, a.s. to evaluate the connection of the Svratecko area.
Diagnostics of medium voltage and high voltage circuit breakers
Kapalla, Alexej ; Šimek, David (referee) ; Dostál, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor work is focused on medium-voltage and high-voltage circuit breakers and their diagnostics. The thesis presents the history of HV circuit breakers and their main division. Subsequently, the relevant standards are listed in the work and diagnostics of the MV circuit breaker VD4 and the HV circuit breaker S1-245 from AEG is performed. In case of the VD4 circuit breaker, a new and used circuit breaker was diagnosed. The measured values are then compared and the impact of usage is shown. The work describes the measurement of main contact resistance, insulation resistance, closing and opening times and vacuum quality.
