The Application of Fuzzy Logic for the Choice of Supplier
Remeš, Filip ; Geryk, David (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis employs modern analysing and simulating methods. It enables the application of fuzzy logic in supplier selection and evaluation of its potential risks to construction companies. This work is aimed at defining the problem and determining the overall and particular goals, namely theoretical description of the principle of used artificial intelligence theory, problem description and analysis, current situation as-sessment, proposed solution implementation and evaluation of proposed solution con-tribution.
Selected problems in the process of building operation appraisal for the purposes of expert opinions
Novák, Jindřich ; Pivoda, Bohuslav (referee) ; Puchýř, Bohumil (referee) ; Mikš, Lubomír (advisor)
The basic requirement for a good quality expert opinion are high quality sources of information, i.e. adequately detailed and valid groundwork. This dissertation analyzes groundwork for expert activities in the area of building operation appraisals, handling of information and its transmission within the life cycle of a construction. For this purpose, it is possible to divide the construction according to its functional parts. The thesis puts emphasis on drawing up a budget according to its functional parts, which is clearer for the investors, contractors and real estate administrators as well as the expert. A significant part of the dissertation is dedicated to recommendations on how to determine the usual price of building operations. In this section I define some options of how to determine the usual price of building operations, including their comparison. Likewise, I investigated and compared real agreed prices of building contracts for public commissions. The basic recommendation resulting from this chapter is the recommendation for the Czech statistics department to automate the data collection based on registers of building operations created with one of the budgeting programs (preferably according to functional parts). For the experts, I prepared a set of recommendations based on the analyzed differences between the budgeted prices and those applied in real contracts. There is no generally accepted method to evaluate the losses created due to delays in construction. For the purposes of this dissertation, I investigated the common prices of rent of the individual equipment and then established two approaches to put value on the cost of equipping the site, percentage rate and individual calculation. I examine in more detail the issues related to quantification of costs for wintertime arrangements. At the end of the chapter I define recommendations for experts. With regard to recommendations for establishing discounts from the construction price due to occurrence of defects and unfinished tasks, I analyzed real examples of distribution of defects and unfinished tasks at the moment of delivering the building operation to the investor and discovered that approximately 50% of defects are part of the surface working. Additionally, I analyzed the Czech technical regulations regarding surface working in order to find basis for assessment of the presence or absence of a defect. While investigating the approach to non-removable defects, I discovered incorrectly considered shelf life of waterproofing within the appraisal. Based on this, I investigated the market and determined the shelf life of common waterproofing systems. At the end of this dissertation I carry out a comparison of selected items of the two pricing systems most commonly used in the Czech Republic, URS and RTS. The differences are a result of contemplating using different technologies, varied mechanisms and diverse approaches to determine the costs of material.
The subcontractor’s role in construction projects
Lesonická, Lenka ; Navrátilová, Helena (referee) ; Nový, Martin (advisor)
The goal of the Bachelor’s thesis is to create an overview of the methods of planning and management of subcontracts for a construction company and to formulate the organization of a construction project, which is based on a specific project with subcontractors, both in terms of time and money. The introduction describes the subcontracts and how to work with them in the company. In addition, it describes the legalities surrounding the basic contracts. The Diamant project on Wenceslas Square is described in detail in the practical part. The project’s structure, function, approval of component parts, schedule, and financial evaluation are also described. The thesis will emphasize on the organization and management of subcontracts.
Variable life annuity
Šimlovič, Matej ; Mazurová, Lucie (advisor) ; Cipra, Tomáš (referee)
In the first chapter, the thesis contains a description of variable annuity and description of four basic guarantees: guaranteed minimum death benefit, guaranteed minimum accumulation benefit, guaranteed minimum income bene- fit and guaranteed minimum withdrawal benefit. For each of these guarantees, there is a description of principle of the benefit, assumptions of payment, amount of payment and a difference from a product without such guarantee, thus a net benefit from the guarantee. In the second chapter, with additional assumptions, there are deductions of expected values of benefits from the described guaran- tees and numerical calculation of these expected values for both genders, various entering ages and various investment variables. 1
Pragmatic Analysis of Vocative in Latin
Ctibor, Michal ; Pultrová, Lucie (advisor) ; Muchnová, Dagmar (referee)
The thesis presents several so far unnoticed functions of (not only) Latin vocative. It argues against previous believes that vocative is used either for addresses, calls and summons, evaluation of addressee and emphasis, or is otherwise only conventional, polite, and thus lacking any real function. Firstly, the author describes vocative from the Speech Act Theory view-point and offers definitions of speech acts call and address. In chapters 3 and 4, he pays attention to vocatives so far considered as lacking function. Relying on the analysis mostly of Cicero's speeches and old Roman comedies, he presents two crucial functions of vocative in non-initial position in a text: 1) vocative as a mean of cohesion which helps to make the organization of the text more transparent and which emphasizes the structure of the text; 2) vocative of assurance/guarantee. In chapter 5, several minor functions of vocative are mentioned (mostly of pragmatic character): triumphal vocative, vocative as a disgrace and vocative as a parody. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Application of a securing promissory note in judicial proceedings in the light of recent case law
Svobodová, Karolina ; Zahradníčková, Marie (advisor) ; Elek, Štefan (referee)
AABSTRACTBSTRACT The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive view on the issue of promissory notes as a guarantee in legal relations. It is supposed to serve both the debtor in building up his defense and the creditor in the evaluation of the risks he may face during the application of his promissory note. Apart from reference books and legislation, the main source used is the analysis of the case law and its contribution to the topic. This thesis is divided into four chapters. General issues are the theme of the first chapter with the focus on the signature and necessary entries on the note. Then the core of the hedge bill is questioned, concerning especially the nature of the securing contract, which is the reason of the guarantee function of the note and consequences associated with the transfer of the note. The second chapter is focused on the bilateral rights and obligations connected with the note and its secured claim, the risk of abuse of negotiable instruments and also the admissibility of causal objections in the case of the endorsement. Following that, suggestions of the possible defense against the abuse are proposed. The third chapter is devoted to procedural issues and the specifics of the procedure in this matter. The payment order is then discussed as well as the nature of the...
