Morfologická analýza vybraných bukových porostů genové základny revíru Raškov (LČR, s. p., Lesní správa Ruda nad Moravou)
Křížek, Petr
Beech is an important tree species in Czech forests, its share is currently around 8.4%, although it has historically been much higher in the Czech Republic. The aim of this work is to create a list of selected beech stands with evaluation of their morphological quality. A three-stage Schädelin classification was used for quality evaluation, which assesses the height, the quality of the trunk and the quality of the tree crown. The quality assessment was carried out in 18 stands, which are part of two units - the southern and the northern side of the gene base. Stands are divided into three groups according to their age (young, middle-aged and mature stands). Basic dendrometric measurements were also performed within the above mentioned stands. Finally, a list of forest management recommendations and reproduction method for each of the evaluated stands was created.
Možnosti přirozené obnovy borovice lesní v genové základně 105 - Holická terasa
Nedomanský, Daniel
The mentioned thesis was engaged in Scotch pine natural regeneration (Pinus sylvestris L.) in genepool reservation 105 which is administrated by Forest cooperative Vysoké Chvojno. The current procedures of forest regeneration were assessed on this area. Five regenerated forest stands were selected for obtaining exact results. The two types of research plots were established in particular plots. In first type of plot were measured various parameters (total height, the last two increment diameter, root collar diameter, needles length) and features of individuals were evaluated (needles colour, crown shape, deviation from stem axis, trunk shape). In the second type of probed plots was investigated natural regeneration spatial structure and density. The financial costs calculation for natural and artificial forest regeneration was performed in the last part.
