Changes in leisure time for older school-age children and adolescents in connection with the restrictions announced by the Czech government during the COVID-19 pandemic

Changes in leisure activities of older school-age children and adolescents in the context of the restrictions announced by the Government of the Czech Republic during the COVID-19 pandemic ABSTRACT The thesis focuses on the changes in the leisure time of children and adolescents due to the restriction of personal freedom of individuals related to the state of emergency declared by the government of the Czech Republic. This state of emergency was declared by the government of the Czech Republic in order to protect public health in the context of the SARS CoV-2 (COVID - 19) pandemic. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a research part, where the theoretical part explains the concepts related to the topic and the research part explains the interrelationships between the selected variables based on a questionnaire survey and follow-up interviews. The research found that the impact of the SARS CoV-2 pandemic is not the only factor influencing the changes in the respondents' leisure time, especially since the period under study covers almost three years of the respondent's life, and therefore there are normal developmental changes. Ballroom dance as a leisure activity

Annotation: This thesis aims to reveal to the general public, what dance is in the eyes of professional dancers, and to recommend ballroom dancing as one of the very good ways to meaningfully use their free time. The aim is to find out how pupils and students under 20 years of age spend their free time and how they perceive dance as a leisure activity. This work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, I explain the concept of free time and the importance of meaningful use of it. Further, I detail the history of dance, which shows why people started to dance and what it yields to them. The theoretical part also includes information about the dance sport, institutions providing dance training, sports nutrition, and also the fact that dance can help and heal. The empirical part is devoted to questionnaires measuring how much of their free time children spend on dance activities, and guided interviews with professional dancers who let us peek into their dance world. These dancers will answer the questions: why dancing became their way of life, what positives and negatives it brings, what is so beautiful and liberating about the dance, and also why a place called Blackpool is often mentioned in the dance environment.
Leisure time as a value for college students

The thesis deals with the value orientation of free time of contemporary university students. The theoretical part consists of three basic chapters-values, leisure time, adolescence/younger adulthood. The chapters definethe basic concepts to understand life values and factors influencing these values. Further more, the thesis deals with the definition of leisure time and a function of leisure time from different perspectives. The thesis also describes the psychological and, in part, the physical development of adolescents and younger adults - the periods which a college student is going through. The practical part deals with the evaluation of the questionnaire. The data obtained from the questionnaire are compared partly according to the tender, partly by the faculty. The questionnaire was answered by students of the University of South Bohemia. The questionnaire surveyed students' leisure time activities and their priorities in terms of leisure time. The results are summarized in the conclusion.
TINKERING AS A LEISURE ACTIVITY

The paper answers the question whether tinkering fulfills the terms of leisure activity. Leisure, its functions, mental health, creativity and reasons why to spend time tinkering are being defined in the theoretical part. Furthermore the history, equipments, tools, materials, tinkering elements and basic work with tinkering wire is being described here, too. The practical part serves partly as a methodical manual. Three lessons for different age groups are depicted in this work. In addition areas and specific awaited expectations according to The Framework Educational Programme for Preschool Education are also being described in this paper. Some basic tinkering elements motivational narration and detailed photodocumentation of three products' tinkering can be found in attachments.

Analysis of the activities of an older school-age children at the primary school in Chrudim

The bachelor thesis is an analyse of leisure sport activities for children at the secondary level of basic school in the town Chrudim focused on athletics and football. In the theoretical part are described terms as a leisure time and his function, movement and pupils' activities and educational branch Physical Education in a general educational program of basic education. In the last issue there is a characterization of the emotional, physical and thinking development of the teenagers (11-15). The practical part will deal with an analyse of leisure activities of the pupils who have sport educational program and those who haven't got one at the concrete basic school in the town of Chrudim. The aim of the research is to find, whether the pupils involved in a sport program are more active than pupils without special sport contents and if the pupils do more sports in winter or spring seasons. The value orientation of students of the Faculty of Theology the University of South Bohemia in Budweis in their leisure time

This thesis deals with the value orientation of students of the Faculty of Theology the University of South Bohemia in Budweis in their leisure time. Firstly, there are explained the basic concepts, which are followed by a detailed overview of particular value concepts to their philosophical, sociological, pedagogical and psychological perspective. Furthermore, the classification values of the selected authors, roles of values and their importance in human life and society are presented in this thesis. Last but not least is this thesis focused on the researches of value orientations in both Czech and foreign literature. There is a chapter elaborated about the leisure time, its concepts, definitions of selected authors, functions of leisure time and its role in socioscientific contexts at the conclusion of the theory part. The main aim of the research is to describe and analyze the value orientation of students of the Faculty of Theology the University of South Bohemia in Budweis in their leisure time. The data obtained from a non-standardized questionnaire will be compared by gender, the age of students and their years of study at the Theological Faculty. Eventually, will be the evaluation and recomendation made for the use in practise.
Trávení volného času žáků střední odborné školy a středního odborného učiliště

The Bachelor thesis is focused on the current opportunities and the ways of spending free time of pupils of secondary vocational schools and secondary specialized vocational schools. The thesis surveys, if pupils can use their free time enough, and how they spend it. What options of free time activities are available to them in their place of residence and in their schools? The theoretical part describes definitions of free time, history of usage of free time, functions of free time and its current options, forms of education. The practical part analyzes survey data through descriptive statistics, which will take place between students of secondary vocational schools and secondary specialized vocational schools in South Moravia. The method of the theoretical part is a study of the professional literary sources, notes making, analysis and synthesis of the notes and comparison of vocational sources. In the practical part the research will be carried out by the survey method. The results will serve as a basis for teaching practice, especially for educational counselors, teachers and school principals.
The recreational function of leisure time in students of the Faculty of Theology, University of South Bohemina in České Budějovice

This thesis deals with the recreational function of free time for students of the Faculty of Theology of the University of South Bohemia. The thesis is an analysis of the literature on the matter, stating kinds of recreation and brief historical overview in the context of free time. It is an analysis of recreation and active lifestyles including previous research studies. The central section is defined by the concept and function of free time period described in university education, recreational activities and leisure time of students, stating research studies. One whole chapter in the end of the theoretical part is focused on student from Faculty of Theology of the University of South Bohemia with the analysis of gender problem and gender statistics at the University of South Bohemia. The main goal of the research is to determine with the method of non-standardized questionnaire, how students the Faculty of Theology of the University of South Bohemiao use leisure time for recreation, pertinently to find proposals to improve the recreational function of free time. The data obtained from non-standardized questionnaire are compared by gender, kind of study and individual fields of study the Faculty of Theology of the University of South Bohemia, the main goal is to make an evaluation and recommendations for practice.
Some Aspect of Life Guality in Connection with Leisure Time and Life Style

This diploma dissertation is dealing with problems of life quality, whose indivisible part is a subjective well-being, in contex of leasure time as an important area, providing increase of life quality for individuals, and thereby for the whole society. An important factor, which influence the quality of life and using of spare time is the life style. Values, that the subject receives, influence his life style and his view of leasure time area, as the way of its exploitation. There are also mentioned some research conclusions, which had been specialized for value orientation area, life satiafaction and spare time.
