Client Server Application for the Creation of File Pages for the PČR

The diploma thesis is devoted to the design and implementation of a system for editing photographic documentation of the Police of the Czech Republic. The work includes an analysis of currently used technologies, a design of the client application, a design of the server part of the system and a description of the implementation of the client and server parts of the system. The resulting implementation of the server part is written in JavaScript with support for the Express.JS framework, the resulting client application is written in JavaScript using the Electron framework.

Restoration Information System ResIS comprehensive documentation of the physical condition of rare library holdings

In comprehensive thesis are characterized particular collections of photographic documentation of historical library holdings which were found during the survey of secondary image information. The possibilities of documentation use from different time periods are mentioned during restoration works, conservation surveys and in specific cases of damage or total loss of the original. In detail are described essential factors affecting the quality of image recording and typical types of photographic documentation on so-called surrogates, which are under selective digitization incorporated into the digital archive of Restoration information system ResIS. Other part of thesis is devoted to the methodology of digitizing the photographic documentation on surrogates, which includes the building up archival organizing system. In part of analysis are mentioned the most important metadata formats for the description of historical written monuments and their field of application. The mapping of selected TEI P5 ENRICH metadata elements into the proposed hierarchical structure was solved in order to create new TEI_RESIS format. Ivan Kafka, Photography between documentation and art

The thesis deals with photographic work of conceptual artist Ivan Kafka and questions regarding the thin line between technical documentation and its artistic quality. It focuses primarily on issues related to the documentation of art and presentation of installa-tion records. Issues accompanying photographic documentation of art are presented using examples of specific works by Ivan Kafka and his approach from a technical and artistic point of view. The text is built around thematic interviews with the author Ivan Kafka, art photographer Martin Polák and art historian Pavlina Morgan. The purpose of these interviews was to present a specification of Kafka's documentary approach from different perspectives and point to the exceptional, as well as problematic aspects of his photographic work. Individual subject areas are developed considering the problematic questions concerning documentation of photography.

Photographic documentation in archaeology

The bachelor thesis deals with description of methods used in photographic documentation in archaeology. The goal of the thesis is to describe photographic documentation in every type of its usage. There is also a description of equipment, types of lighting and taking photos in each type. The purpose of thesis is to be helpful during taking photos in archaeology. It also mentions problems which can appear during this documentation and suggests suitable solution.
