TITLE: Forms and procedures for implementation of the education of hearing disabled children and pupils AUTHOR: Lenka Soukupová, DiS. DEPARTMENT: Special Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Eva Mrkosová, CSc. ABSTRACT: In my work I have focused on the problems of hearing-impaired children and methods which are used in their education. In the theoretical part I try to describe speech education of hearing impaired children - how the mother of the deaf child should communicate and stimulate him to communicate. Then I speak about communication systems using by hearing-impaired people. Afterwards I describe the educational opportunities of children with hearing impairments, primarily I mention institution which are assisting parents with a child with hearing disabilities- they work with them since birth and inform them about other learning opportunities. In the next chapter I present forms of special education of students with disabilities. In the practical part I concerned with how teachers work with hearing impaired children, what methods of work they use in the classroom use and how children respond to them.
