Effects of hydropeaking on the attached eggs of a rheophilic cyprinid species
BARTOŇ, Daniel
Ability of eggs of asp (Leuciscus aspius) to survive an increased water velocity was tested in experimental condition as well as in situ. Hydropeaking occurs on the study site and can cause detachment of most spawned eggs.
Effects of hydropeaking on the attached eggs of a rheophilic cyprinid species
BARTOŇ, Daniel
Effects of artificial water fluctuations called hydropeaking on the detachment rates of adhesive eggs were studied using a rheophlic fish (asp Leuciscus aspius) as a model species. I attempted to relate egg density to abiotic conditions of the spawning ground and identify optimal conditions for the eggs. Egg densities were also studied during spawning season when hydropeaking occurred. In the experimental setup, egg detachment rates were tested with different speeds, substrate type and exposition time and critical conditions for the eggs were assessed.
Assessment of asp reproductive population in Švihov Reservoir in 2017
Šmejkal, Marek ; Blabolil, Petr ; Bartoň, Daniel ; Kolařík, T. ; Soukalová, Kateřina ; Děd, Vilém ; Boborová, K. ; Michalička, P. ; Zemanová, Z. ; Kočvara, Luboš ; Duras, J. ; Kubečka, Jan
The aim of the contract was to capture reproducing asp by electrofishing and tag fish individually using individual marking technique (PIT-tags). Estimate of asp reproductive population in the Švihov Reservoir was performed on the basis of mark-recapture methods. Furthermore, the length and weight increments were computed for recaptured asp individuals. Tagged individuals were monitored using passive telemetry systems on the tributary of Švihov Reservoir.

Importance of lentic waterbodies and managed flooding for natural fish reproduction of lower River Dyje
Bartošová, Š. ; Jurajda, Pavel
In 1997-1999, the 0+ fish communities of backwaters, oxbows and flooded and non-flooded borrow pits along the River Dyje (Danube basin) were investigated. Species richness was high in flooded borrow pits and backwaters. Abundance was high in flooded borrow pits and oxbows. Non-flooded borrow pits present pure 0+ fish community.
The natural fish reproduction of lowland stretches of Morava and Dyje rivers
Valová, Z. ; Jurajda, Pavel
Lowland rivers decreased their habitat diversity and get an uniform character due to their regulation and channelisation. This modifications affected the natural fish reproduction. The efficiency of natural fish reproduction was studied using Point Abundance Sampling strategy by electrofishing in three differently modified stretches of two adjacent lowland rivers in the late summer of 1999-2003.
