Entrance knowledge and ideas about the Regions of Czech Republic of pupils of younger school age

The diploma thesis deals with the entrance knowledge and ideas that pupils of younger school age have about the regions of Czech Republic before their own teaching in national studies classes in the fifth grade of primary schools. Data collection was carried out through a research survey at elementary schools in the Vysočina Region and the South Bohemian Region. Third and fourth graders filled out questionnaires that explored their complex ideas and knowledge. Part of the analytical part was also comparison of the differences between individual years, gender, size, location and type of investigated schools and the source of information. The result of the thesis is an educational material "Z kraje do kraje" with a methodical manual focused on critical thinking using the E-U-R method. This can assist elementary school to teachers to facilitate a more active approach for pupils rather than approaching the subject matter through constructive thinking. The conclusion of the diploma thesis talks about the confirmation or refutation of established hypotheses.
Research - oriented teaching of Activity lessons on the first grade of primary school

The topic of this diploma thesis is research - oriented teaching of Activity lessons on the first grade of primary school. The first section is about the characteristic of technical education and part of this chapter is also the explanation of the term technic and technical literacy. Then follows the chapter, which is paying attention to the education plan and its educating areas, in which could be the research - oriented teaching used. Next chapter limits the term of the research - oriented teaching and acquaint us with its levels and phases. The last section of the theoretical part belongs to the characteristic of the methods of experience, trial and observation. In the practical section are five teaching suggestions for including the research - oriented teaching to lessons on the first grade of primary school. Inseparable part of every suggestion is preparation for the lesson with all of the necessary information.
Drama and educational lessons designed with primary school children

In my thesis I focus on the benefits of drama education for primary school pupils. In the introduction, I consider the theoretical basis of drama education, project teaching, their use and the impact on the child's personality. An important chapter of the theoretical part is the developmental specifics of first-grade children. Main part of the work is the design of educational lessons for all grades of primary school. The focus of the work is the elaboration of drama-educational lessons within one topic (St. Ursula - the patroness of Ursula's education). Every lesson is designed so that it corresponds to the developmental level of students in a particular year. The practical part contains action research and evaluation of the questionnaire, which will check the depth of students' knowledge before and after the project within the given topic. Further includes a questionnaire for feedback from teachers of individual classes. The implementation of the proposed project is supplemented by a description, self-reflection and comparison of work in individual years. The second part of the diploma thesis also includes a comparison of the used methods of drama education in terms of functionality, with regard to the age and developmental specifics of students of individual years. Japanese fairy tales and their use in drama education

The diploma thesis deals with the application of Japanese fairy tales in drama education lessons at Primary school. The goal of the thesis is to consider the suitability of Japanese fairy tales in the drama education lessons. The thesis is devided into the theoretical and practical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part I deal with a brief theory of fairytales. The second chapter is about Japanese fairy tales. The classification of Japanese fairy tales is described and there are also some examples. The third chapter is about fairy tales in the drama education. The practical part serves to verify the goals of the diploma thesis. Four Japanese fairy tales, in which drama education methods and techniques were used, are processed and reflected. All the lessons were realised at Primary school.
Incorporating the theme of virtues into teaching pupils in primary school

This master's thesis deals with virtues of first grade primary school pupils. The theoretical part is focused on explanation of the term "virtues" and on description of individual areas in which the virtues can appear within education in first grade of primary school. The attention is paid to how the topic "virtues" is related to the goals and contents formulated in "RVP ZP" (General education programme for primary school education). In this part I also focus on introduction of context of ethics, where I concentrate on theories of Jean Piaget and Lawrence Kohlberg, and ethics education. Furthermore, there are programmes, projects and aids mentioned in this thesis, which deal with development of virtues, with education to values and with ethics education. The practical part of this thesis consists of active research. In the research are stated four lessons which deal with the way, this topic can be realised as a content of education and the way the pupils understand this topic. I also deal with virtues of respect and empathy in detail. These education units which develop the topics of virtues are suggested, verified and reflected. The factors of the psychosocial climate in the primary schoul classroom

The aim of this diploma thesis is to introduce the problem of the classroom climate of the first grade at primary school. Classroom climate is a complex phenomenon and process and is subject to many influences, which are described in more detail in the theoretical part of this thesis. According to the literature, a key role is played by the teacher in the formation and influence of classroom climate. The practical part is aimed at the teacher ? it presents the results of interviews conducted with experienced first-grade teachers. The results show how addressed teachers define the concept of classroom climate, how it is diagnosed and further developed. The teachers also described the climate of their current classes and their opinions were compared with the results of a questionnaire that brought the views of the classroom climate through the eyes of pupils. This thesis is a part of GAJU Project 154/2016/S ?Preparedness of students and fresh graduates of PF JCU to solve educational problems of pupils.?
Criminal activity of students attending primary schools and its social impact

This diploma thesis deals with the criminality of children at the first level of elementary schools. The thesis is divided into theoretical part and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we are focusing on the causes and specifics of child criminality. Than three influences that affect the child are also described. This is the effect of family, school environment and leisure time. In the practical part are statistics of child criminality. As part of empirical research, we found out how the link between leisure time and the occurrence of criminal activity is. The questionnaire method was used. The data was collection at elementary school in Prague 1. Another method was self-observation based on communication with a low-threshold center worker.

Algorithmisation teaching in EasyLogo in primary education

This master thesis deals with programming education on first grade of primary schools in application EasyLogo. The theoretical part consists of analysis of education of an original set of short programming exercises. Based on observation of teaching at schools and following interactions with teachers and students was the set modified and supplemented by new exercises. The new educational set includes 52 exercises divided into seven sections which keep the teaching process following the taught steps. The master thesis consists of descriptions and previews of new exercises, guidelines for teachers and as an attachment there is a complete list of exercises divided into sections.
