Mathematical and Statistical Methods as Support of the Development of Software Applications

The bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a software application in Visual Basic for Application (programming language) in version 7.1, which facilitates the financial analysis ofa selected company by using selected mathematical and statistical methods. In thetheoretical part, the theoretical framework is defined based on a literature search. The practical part consists of a problem analysis (financial analysis of the enterprise) and a proposed solution to the problem, which includes a proposal for the developed software application and recommendations for the enterprise based on the financial analysis. The software application should then make the enterprise more efficient and faster in creating the financial analysis.

Measurement and Evaluation of the Company's Performance and Proposals for its Improvement

The bachelor thesis is focused on the measurement and evaluation of the performance of company JRC Czech a.s. between years 2017-2021. The thesis is split into three main parts. The first part contains an introduction to the performance measurement and the characteristics of individual methods of financial analysis as a way of its measurement. The second part deals with the actual measurement and evaluation of the financial situation, including comparison with industry averages. The third part describes proposals that, if implemented, should help to improve the current situation.

Komparace hospodaření vybraných obcí na území okresu České Budějovice

The main goal of the master thesis is to evaluate the financial management of selected municipalities Hluboka nad Vltavou, Lisov, Borovany, Zliv and Trhove Sviny between 2013-2019 and compare their results, based on the main condition indicators of the local municipal economy. The master thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is processed in the form of literary research. This section clarifies the theoretical basis for budgetary processes at a local and a regional level. Furthermore, the individual tools of financial analysis of municipal management are described with a focus on financial indicators. In the practical part, the budgets and financial management of selected municipalities are analysed and economically evaluated in the medium term. The practical part is further completed with a quantitative questionnaire survey which was submitted to the citizens of the municipalities. The purpose of the completed questionnaire is to determine the perception of the situation regarding the financial management of the municipality and invested funds from the municipal budget.

Evaluation of the financial situation of the company using systems of financial indicators

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of the company using parallel, pyramid and purpose systems of financial indicators. The selected company of this thesis is the company Kores Europe s.r.o., which deals mainly with the production of glue sticks. The goal was achieved through various methods of financial analysis - a parallel set of indicators, a pyramid set of indicators, purposely selected set of financial indicators and an intercompany comparison. The analysed period is from 2016 to 2020. The results are interpreted and compared with a sample of companies from the Bisnode Albertina database. Finally, potential sources of inefficient finance and recommendations for improving the financial situation of the company are identified.

Impact of farm size on efficiency economy

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the development of agricultural companies divided by size, not only according to the number of employees, but also according to the balance sheet total of the annual balance sheet. Another goal is to evaluate whether the size of the agricultural holding has an impact on the economic result. It is based on data from the Albertina database and monitors the development from 2015 to 2019. The theoretical part explains the specifics of agriculture and deals with the topic of financial analysis. In this work, the data are included only for agricultural holdings classified according to the CZ-NACE classification of activities. The methodology describes the Albertina database used and the methodological procedure explains the selection of financial indicators, the subsequent use of these indicators and their calculation from the average company divided by size in a longer time series. In the end, the comparison of the calculated indicators with other sizes of enterprises is also shown, as well as the development of selected indicators in the graphs.

Analysis of fixed assets.

This thesis deals with the issue of fixed assets and concerns on the analysis and overall evaluation of fixed assets in chosen company from economical and accounting point of view. It mainly focuses on ways and methods of depreciation and calculation of financial and efficiency indicators. The work describes characteristics of fixed assets - its acquisition, depreciation, accounting and its inclusion in the company's balance sheet. It also includes chosen indicators of financial analysis that are related to fixed assets. This knowledge is applied on the particular company. The main resources of data will be the Balance sheet, Profit and loss account and Statement of cashflows. In the final part it suggests changes in the system of depreciation and more recommendations for improvement of the situation of the concrete company.

Analysis of the financial stability of the agricultural holding

The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial position of an agricultural enterprise using financial indicators - differential indicators, ratios and bankruptcy and creditworthy models. Specific data for the calculations of financial analysis indicators were obtained from the financial statements - the balance sheet and the profit and loss account. The analysis of financial statements is performed in a time line of seven years. The results of the financial analysis of the farm are compared with the results of the same indicators of an average enterprise in comparable production and climatic conditions, which is selected from the public Internet database FADN.

Analysis of economic data using statistical methods

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the DEZA, a.s. company using financial analysis and statistical methods. The work is divided into three parts. In the first part, theoretical framework is formulated with the main focus on the procedures and methods used troughtout this thesis. The second part is dedicated to the analysis itself, thanks to which the evaluation of the current state of the company together with recommendations for future improvement can be laid out in the last part.
