Financial literacy of horse owners

This paper examines the case of financial literacy of horse owners. The theoretical part outlines the causes of financial illiteracy and its implications at the national level. The thesis summarizes the different approaches to addressing financial illiteracy in terms of the scientific studies and the implementation of these recommendations in the Czech Republic. The thesis briefly describes the current level of financial literacy at the national level to understand the context in which the case under study is situated. Within the exploratory research case study, the opinions of stakeholders in equestrian sport and horse breeding are obtained by a qualitative approach and then the socio-demographic data and information as well as the financial knowledge and financial behaviour of the horse owners themselves are collected by a quantitative method. According to the data obtained, the group of horse owners shows low financial knowledge and poor financial behaviour. In addition to the low level of financial literacy of the group of horse owners surveyed, problems related to poor general knowledge concerning horse breeding are also identified. The bachelor thesis deals with financial literacy focused on high school students in the Czech Republic. It defines financial literacy, related concepts and financial education. Researches that has already been done on this topic are described in this thesis. Using a questionnaire survey, attended by high school students, data were obtained to be used for further process. Based on this data, the current financial situation focused on high school students is defined and it is assessed whether the financial education provided to students is beneficial. In the conclusion it is assessed that the knowledges of high school students are mostly unsatisfying. Financial education should be improved as it appears to be lacking.

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of tax literacy among high school students in the Czech Republic. Tax literacy is a part of financial literacy, therefore there is mentioned both concepts. The thesis also describes international financial and tax literacy projects and basic tax concepts. The aim of the thesis is to assess tax knowledge among students of secondary technical schools, business academies and gymnasiums. Through questionnaire survey, the level of tax knowledge was observed. The conclusion contains measures, which will lead to increase tax literacy (tax knowledge) among taxpayers.
The comparison of the level in financial literacy by students of different types of high schools

The main aim of this bachelor paper was to find how students these days are knowledgeable in banking products problems. The paper is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part defines financial literacy, refers to the organisations working on this field, compares education of financial literacy in the Czech Republic and in the world, introduces the banking products available in our country, and indicates the results of previous studies. The practical part is focused on a research held at secondary schools. The outcomes of the research show the level of financial literacy of students, mainly how good they are in understanding the banking products offered. The research included final year students of various types of secondary schools (grammar schools, special secondary schools).
