The aim of the bachelor thesis is to point out the importance of financial planning in personal and family life. The issue of financial planning consists in the prepara-tion of a financial plan to satisfy the needs and wishes, to achieve the short-term and long-term goals and to secure against the risks that could affect the financial and life situation. Each goal in a financial plan requires a certain amount of money to be earned through continuous or one-off deposits in financial products. Secur-ing is done in two ways - the creation of own financial reserves so-called self-insurance or the conclusion of insurance contracts in the insurance market. A set of closed family financial products is called a financial portfolio. The bachelor thesis at first defines the basic concepts of financial planning, explains the financial products that are offered on the financial market and their possible use with respect to the financial strategy. Theoretical knowledge is put into practical use in two draft financial plans for two different young families. Families differ from each other especially in current life situation, with one couple faces the decision to finance the building of the family home, and the other couple plans to expand the family and secure family.
Life insurance as a savings tool and its comparison with choosen tools of similar character

This thesis is concerned with the options of the choice of the appropriate way for citizens to save or invest their financial means in order to prepare for the era of the postproductive age -- retirement. It is obvious that a significant drop of income occurs after the end of the productive period of life. The pensions are not sufficient for maintaining a certain level of living and that is why it is important to prepare for this postproductive period in advance and to create financial reserves. The current financial market offers the citizens a variety of means and options to not only appropriately save their financial means but to take interest from them as well. The thesis characterizes individual saving or investment products while focusing on their safety, the possibility of interest and basic advantages and disadvantages. Life insurance is mentioned in the first place, though it does not offer a high profit, it provides insurance security unlike other possibilities and it definitely should not be overlooked. The thesis also briefly deals with several changes concerning the pensions system since 1.1.2013.
Design methodology for the creation of statutory reserves for remediation and reclamation of areas damaged by surface mining

Economics of the environment is a topical issue of contemporary economics. This includes optimization of financing landscape protection and return to its equilibrium state after extraction. The work "Design methodology for the creation of statutory reserves for remediation and reclamation of areas affected by surface mining" maps current practices in the creation of financial reserves for remediation and reclamation. It focuses on surface mining both small and large bearings. Analysis of procedure is performed by comparing the pros and cons. The method should be optimal in terms of both organizations and interests of the state. Possible situations are described by illustrative graphs, which is likewise sufficient depth discuss the issue. The thesis is mainly based on laws and regulations. In conclusion I come to the fact that there are no universal optimal methods of reserves generally applicable to all types of bearings, it has to always be taken into account the specific conditions needed to carry out analysis.
