Evaluation of the Corporate Performance

The focus of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the performance of ZAMA interior s.r.o. using a financial analysis based on the company's financial statements and then comparing it with two competing companies. In the first part we will discuss the subject matter of the topic, introducing the key concepts, analysis and how we can calculate them. In the second part, I will apply each analysis to a selected company, compare it with competing companies and evaluate the results obtained. The third part focuses on suggestions for improvement based on the opportunities identified by the financial analysis.
Business cycle in Sweden, Switzerland and Poland during 2000-2015 and solving the recession phase

The objective of master thesis is the examination of Swedish, Swiss and Polish business cycle in four key areas consisting of internal and external macroeconomic equilibrium, cyclical development indicators and financial stability during 2000-2015 period and analysis of fiscal and monetary policy with respect to anti-crisis measures. The pivotal hypothesis is that Sweden, Switzerland and Poland have managed to deal with Great Recession relatively better than other advanced economies. Theoretical section characterises chosen countries, explains fundamental terms and sets the research framework. The empirical part monitors business cycle by chosen indicators within internal and external equilibrium, cyclical development and financial stability, subsequently evaluates situation before the crisis outbreak and examines anti-crisis measures that have been taken. Empirical section is closed by SWOT which evaluates economic development during 2009-2015 period and serves as tool for main hypothesis verification.
The prediction of corporate bankruptcy and credit risk

This thesis present concise but comprehensive overview of most important paper dedicated to prediction of corporate bankruptcy, as well as overview of the theory behind the employed models and crucial indicators for quality assessment and comparison of the estimations. Manually collected data includes financial statement, identification information and especially specifications of management and responsible persons. From this point of view, data collected are of high quality and in Czech Republic relatively unique. Noticeable is also multiple imputation method used, current "state-of-the-art" technique for missing data treatment. Practical part concentrates on models estimation for various data setting, when contrasting models on raw and truncated datasets. By smoothing data, significantly better model can be estimated with superior discriminating power on the same data points. Inclusion of macroeconomic variables as well as even more significant governance indicators according to current stage of research, improved estimated models.

Bachelor´s thesis „Financial Analysis of Incorporated Company Consumer Finance Holding“ is dedicated to the finanncial analysis of the company Consumer Finance Holding, a.s. The company is located in Poprad and was established by Všeobecná úverová banka, a.s. in 2005. Both of them belongs to the major international banking group Intesa Sanpaolo. The purpose of establishing was streamlining holding´s administration of 5 stock´s company – Quatro, a.s., TatraCredit, a.s., QuatroCar, a.s., Slovenská požičovňa, a.s., Slovenské kreditné karty, a.s., which VÚB bank bought from three existing shareholders.
Financial analysis of Orava water company

This study sought to analyse the development of Orava water company during the period 2006 -- 2010, focusing on anticipation of further development in the near future. Various methods of analysis, their use and values are defined and described in this work. Emphasis is placed on procedures and methods to help clarify the financial situation of the company. Consequently, individual models of analysis have been applied. The aim is not only to identify the threat of possible bankruptcy but to also determine likely future developments. Based on the analysis, solutions for further direction are provided, leading to the higher satisfaction for stakeholders and especially shareholders.
