Evidence-based Management in Healthcare

Evidence-based management involves decision making based on the best available scientific knowledge about effective organization practice. This evidence can be obtained from internal or systematic external research. Analysis of measures to prevent infections in hemato-oncologic patients a Prague teaching hospital revealed, that current organization practices do not allow a high quality internal research assessing provided health care quality. Causes of barriers to practice evidence-based approach in the organization processes and potential solutions are debated. In healthcare, Evidence-based management has a significant impact on improving the quality of provided care via identification of the best processes of integrating the outcomes of evidence-based medicine into the routine clinical practice. The aim of this work was to fill in absent information about evidence-based management in Czech academic literature and to introduce the ideas, principles and tools of evidence-based practice, as well as information on available sources of scientific evidence and activities that help adopting the evidene-based approach to management.
Methods and processes of accounting reserves of chosen accounting entity

This Bachelor work attend to assessing and accounting inventory of a chosen company. Literature relating these questions and information from the chosen company were the main source of information. The theory background is focused especially on the audit of inventory and a theory of conduct of inventory. In this work, there are explained different methods, models and procedures of conduct of inventory. The theory background describes characteristics of inventory, accounting and assessing inventory.The practical part analyses audit and conduct of inventory in the chosen company. In the first place, I the company which I chose for my work, and I describes its activity. Next, I focused my work on the audit of inventory in this company, audit´s procedures. In the last part I described audit of inventory when buying, producing and selling. The work is closed by assessing methods which are used in this company.

This bachelor thesis mainly focuses on operational production management. The findings discussed in theoretical part have been applied to specific textile enterprise producing socks. It is being described from operational management perspective and production management point of view. All operational activities are being described and to some new improvement approaches have been proposed.
Evidence Based Policy

This thesis refers to the Evidence Based Policy and Regulatory Impact Analysis. Both of them are important instruments for creating the economic policy. Evidence based policy is based on the collection and evaluation of the relevant data concerning the realization of either government or non-government programs. There are different methods for evaluating. Methods for the evaluation and the process of the evaluation are contained in the first part of this thesis. The second part is related to Regulatory Impact Analysis, which is linked to the production of the better regulation. Evolution of the RIA in the European union and Great Britain, analysis of the quality of the RIA and assessment of the implementation of the RIA into the legislative procedure is the main body of this thesis. The third part is dedicated to the RIA in the Czech Republic. The integration of the RIA into the legislation and the rules for the assessment of the impacts caused by the regulation are described in this part. This part also includes several RIAs analysis. The weak side of the RIA is described as well in the last part.
Problems of inventory and their evaluation according to valid Czech legislation and IAS/IFRS

This diploma paper in detail describes inventory separately from aspect of Czech accounting legislation and international accounting standards IAS/IFRS. Attention is devoted to meaning, structure and contents of individual legal enactment, qualification and division of inventory, methods of accounting and publication and especially their evaluation. The objective of this thesis is comparison of Czech accounting legislation and IAS/IFRS to find out differences between Czech legislation and IAS/IFRS in qualification, accounting, publication and evaluation of inventory. All determined differences are summarized in closing parts of the work together with classification of individual legal enactment and recommendations for Czech accounting legislation about implementation of some useful elements from IAS/IFRS.
