Roofing of the building is designed as a saddle roof with clay tiles and load-bearing nailed timber trusses. The building is situated in moderate, almost flat terrain. The wine cellar building consists of an underground cellar and a ground floor with a lounge, sanitary facilities and a staircase hall. External walls of the upper part of the cellar are made of CSB framework, partitions are made of Porotherm system, ceiling is made of reinforced concrete slabs. Roofing of the building is designed as a green roof. External walls of other parts of the building are also made of CBS framework, ceiling is a vault-like one supported by prefabricated beams and covered with Miako ceiling panels. The structure is situated in moderate, almost flat terrain, its cellar is sunk under ground level and covered with soil.
Hotel Aztec
Beránek, Tomáš ; Spáčilová, Jitka (referee) ; Sukopová, Dáša (advisor)
The aim of the thesis was to design a building named Hotel Aztec. The building will serve for accommodation and recreation. The restaurant is also part of the hotel. There is a car park near the hotel building. The hotel has four floors and basement. There are 26 suites, 2 of them are three bed rooms, 20 double or twin rooms and 4 single rooms. The south-facing orientation of the suites ensures sufficient insolation. In ground floor there is one twin room for disabled persons. In ground floor there is restaurant with kitchen connected with bar in basement. There is also wellness centre, mechanical rooms and storages. On the northeast side of the hotel there are offices and rooms for employees and training room. The loadbearing masonry is from sand-lime blocks and there are cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs and concrete foundations. The external wall is insulated with ETICS. All roofs are warm flat, over the restaurant there is intensive green roof, The roof over the 2nd floor is walkable - roof terrace. Over the 3rd floor there is non-walkable flat roof. The building is heated by heat pumps and there is mechanical ventilation with heat recovery.
Motel
Veselský, Jaroslav ; Klimek, Karel (referee) ; Čuprová, Danuše (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is designing a new building of Motel in Mikulov in Moravia. The object is located near a road in the suburbs. The land is in a sloped terrain. The object has three aboveground floors. In the first floor there is a restaurant including a kitchen and the background. There are two barier free rooms for accommodation as well. In the second floor there are eight double rooms. In the western part of the object there is a multipurpose hall including its own backgroud. In this floor there are recreation rooms to be found – a library and a children’s club. The third floor consists of eight double rooms too. Some space in this floor is used for technical purposes (air conditioning equipment). The motel‘s operational part is made of cloakrooms for stuff, technical rooms and a warehouse. The construction of this building is bricked using the Porotherm system. There is flat single vegetation roof or classical-structure roof used. The building is based on base band. The perimeter wall is insulated using contact insulation ETICS system. The drawings are processed in ArchiCAD 17.
Retirement home
Grigarová, Karolína ; Bartolšicová, Eva (referee) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
The aim of my diploma thesis is to elaborate project documentation for the execution of a new building home for elderly people. The intention is to construct a new apartment building for pensioners who are able to do activities of daily living. There can be found 24 lease flats for a maximum of 30 accommodated people. The home offers 12 hours care service and has rooms for carers, dining rooms, places for rehabilitation, outpatient care and stores for keeping accommodated people’s things. The whole area has wheelchair access and counts with the movement of people with reduced mobility. The building is designed as brick, using clay blocks which are put on concrete foundation strips. Thermal insulation is a combination of contact thermal insulation system and ventilated facade with hanging plates. The roofing is designed partly as a float double-shell roof with timber truss girder, and partly as a single-shell roof with concrete load-bearing structure. The drawing documentation has been created using computer programs AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and the programs by doc. Dr. Ing. Zbyněk Svoboda (Teplo, Area, Stabilita, Simulace) and another simple computer programs like Excel were used for the thermal assessment.
Energy-efficient hotel building in Karviná
Segeďa, Petr ; Rubinová, Olga (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of the master’s thesis is to design an energy-efficient hotel in Karviná. In the first part, an architectural and structural solution was proposed. The building has three above-ground storeys. The structural system was designed as structural frame with beams and slabs, made of reinforced concrete. The material of external wall is aerated concrete blocks insulated with the ETICS with poly. The roof is flat. There are 40 thermal collectors and 69 photovoltaics panels. On the first floor, there are four guest rooms, a restaurant, a kitchen, a reception, toilets, a utility room, a mechanical room, and facilities for employees. The guest rooms are located on the second and third floor. HVAC was designed in the second part. Heating is provided by two heat pumps. The first heat pump provides domestic hot water in the winter, heating with radiators, for air handling unit heaters and cooling in the summer. The second heat pump is used only for floor heating in the winter. In the building are designed four air handling units for the kitchen, the restaurant and two for the guest rooms. Rainwater from the roof is collected in accumulation tank for flushing the toilets. In the third part, I evaluated the calculation of energy performance certificate in two softwares, namely Energie 2021 and DEKSOFT. The aim to find out, why the results are different in these softwares. The Drawings were done in ArchiCAD. The calculation part was made in Excel.
