Electrooculogram based text comprehensibility evaluation
Netopil, Jan ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This thesis deals with principles and measuring of electrooculography (EOG) and with electrooculography signal utilization for assessment of reading comprehension. The basic physiology and anatomy of the eye, types of eye movement and identifiable elements in EOG during reading are described in thesis. Methodology of electrooculogram-based text comprehensibility evaluation is described and verified by recording of EOG of ten volunteers using Biopac system. Detection of identifiable elements is implemented by Matlab. The last steps of process are statistical evaluation of data and revers identification of text complexity.
Text readability analysis
Tichá, Petra ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This semestral work deals with the EOG signal recording in reading condition. The theoretical part contains description of physiology and anatomy of ocular system, types of ocular movements and its use during a reading process. Principles of copywriting and typographic text parameters, which influence text readability, are introduced in this work as well. Principle of electrooculography and description of detectable elements in obtained signal are explained in chapter EOG. The chosen algorithm is described in the next chapter. Some detected parametres are converted into a single parameter which expresses the text readability. The results are statistically processed and there are made recommendations for the creation of optimally readable text.
The influence of eye movement on postural stability
Míková, Monika ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Němcová, Andrea (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis discusses the influence of eye movement on postural stability. Thesis includes problematics of postural stability, physiology of sight, oculomotoric and measuring of eye movement via electrooculography method. Postural stability is measured with Wii Balance Board, which records antero-posterior and medio-lateral displacement of the COP position. Eye movements are measured with Biopac system, its output is EOG. Ten people were involved in this study. Parameters were calculated from stabilometric signal and from EOG. Results were procesed statistically.
Focusation of eyes on characteristic component of visual perception.
Fejgl, Martin ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with muscles physiology of eye movement and questions of surface electromyography measurement. Physiology and analysis of eye movement are described here. Furthermore the paper deals with a variety of electrooculographic measuring techniques and also with resulting evaluation of measured signal.
Detection and analysis of eye movement
Křístek, Jakub ; Blaha, Milan (referee) ; Provazník, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis deals with the movements of eyes and it describes the matters related to its measurement and data processing. Theoretic part is focused on eye‘s anatomy and electrophysiology, types of eye’s muscles and their movements. Even more methods, not just used electrooculography, are described thoroughly. In the second part of this thesis are designed two experiments and the measurement is realized on a group of ten tested subjects. Acquired signals are saved and processed in Matlab software, statistically analyzed and the results are interpreted.
EOG signal processing using Arduino
Typovský, Viktor ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This bachelors thesis deals with scanning and processing EOG signal. Processing means displaying EOG signal detection and eye movement. The theoretical part is first described the formation and properties of EOG signal. Furthermore, they describe factors affecting EOG. The practical part is then given proposal hardware solutions to capture this signal and processing algorithm. Scanning EOG signal is realized by means of the instrumentation amplifier. Its filtration is used lowpass Sallen-Key. It was decided to maintain during scanning DC component of the signal. But that was a problem regarding the electrode potential. This problem would be resolved by the proposed compensation circuit. Processing the resultant signal is then performed in an environment Processing using Arduino platform. EOG imaging algorithm and motion detection functions and is given.
Electrooculography
Mošnerová, Jitka ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with principles of electrooculography and methods used for its applications. Then there are some properities of electrooculography (EOG) signal. The thesis mentions possibilities of usage of EOG signal in medicine and others branches, based on gained information and literary source. For correct interpretation of results it is important to know standards of measurement of EOG. In the next parts there are protocols of experiment that use EOG for measurement. The last steps of process are evaluation of results and specification the conclusion.
Electrooculography for marketing
Fajmon, František ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This thesis deals with EOG analysis and evaluation for marketing studies. Basic anatomy a physiology of the eye is discussed. Practical part is deal optimal method for trajectory vizualization. In this work description of algorithm are shown. This algorithm is realized in Matlab workspace. In this work is included an evaluation of the content analysis of graphical outputs, generated from EOG measured.
Fatigue evaluation using electrooculography
Němcová, Andrea ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
The master´s thesis deals with fatigue evaluation in electrooculography records (EOG). The theoretical part focuses on electrooculography itself, fatigue and methods used for fatigue detection from EOG. The practical part includes a plan of optimal methodology for fatigue evaluation using EOG. The EOG signals are recorded during the volunteers are watching prepared scenes. Those scenes are desribed here. There is also definition of signal processing methods with relevant block diagrams. Laboratory protocol describing EOG signals recording using Biopac data acquisition system is included. Ten volunteers were measured according to this protocol and the signal database was created. In brief questionnaire volunteers were supposed to evaluate fatigue and discomfort of the measurment. Recorded signals were processed and acquired parameters were statistically evaluated. Then the parameters were discussed in terms of fatigue detection ability. On the basis of that software application was created. This application detects fatigue in selected signal. The thesis includes detailed laboratory manual for students.
