Use of the Energy Harvesting Method
Dobrovolná, Terezie ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the use of Energy Harvesting. It contains suggestions for obtaining electric power from alternative sources located inside the laminar box such as light, heat or vibration. Electricity is also used to power sensors and measure solid particles in the air. If a certain particle concentration is exceeded, the acoustic sensor alerts. The work also focuses on the compilation of a block diagram of the device, experimental construction and verification of the functionality of the entire system.
Accumulation of energy from renewable sources
Charvátová, Marie ; Bajko, Jaroslav (referee) ; Fišer, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of accumulation of energy from renewable sources with a closer focus on electricity storage in the "small/home" scale. Delivering energy from renewable sources is highly variable and, in order to cover the time shift between production and consumption, energy must be stored. In the paper are described individual types of energy used in residential housing, sources of renewable energy are presented and various ways of energy accumulation are analyzed. The greatest attention is paid to chemical accumulators, because they are the most suitable solution for home use due to their practicality. At the end of the thesis, operational data from a small demonstration photovoltaic power plant with accumulation of electric energy in chemical accumulators are processed and evaluated.
Power-Over-Fiber power supply
Kos, David ; Vlček, Čestmír (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the possibilities of energy transmission by optical fiber for the purpose of powering of electronic systems. It comprises issues of electrical energy conversion to optical energy, coupling the power into the optical fiber, coupling between fiber and opto-electric transducer, conversion of optical energy to electrical energy, and transformation on required voltage levels. The principles of such Power-Over-Fiber are discussed in the first part of the work. Various technologies for the implementation of key system parts and their effectivity are discussed. In the next part, several Power-Over-Fiber commercial devices are compared. Subsequently, systems for Power-Over-Fiber experimental implementations are proposed. They are based on the utilization of semiconductor laser, multimode fiber, photovoltaic cell and related electronic circuits. The final part of the thesis deals with the construction of experimental systems and measurement of parameters of transmitted power and efficiency.
Pump storage station
Šimek, Petr ; Sloupenský, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kubálek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the functions of hydro-power plants, describes the various machinery and their distribution according to the parameters of use. Outlines the calculation in the design of hydraulic machines. There are also descriptions of machine layout and their use in praktice. For the particular case, there is prepared hydro power plant Dlouhé stráně. Related topic that is included here, the electricity system and the daily load diagram.
Analysis of possibilities for use of III. and IV. generation of nuclear reactors for the Czech Republic
Gajdzica, Lukáš ; Kopřiva, Radek (referee) ; Kopřiva, Radek (referee) ; Matal, Oldřich (advisor)
The thesis deals with the analysis of possibilities for use of III. and IV. generation of nuclear reactors for the Czech Republic. Introduction deals with basic principles of nuclear energetics and fuel cycle which is closely associated with the issue and its development and application in practice will have a significant effect both for choice of future types of nuclear reactors of IV. generation and the matter of settlement with spent nuclear fuel. In other parts the thesis deals with the present state of nuclear energetics in the Czech Republic, compares concrete chosen types of nuclear power plants of III. generation and generally describes nuclear reactors and power plants of IV. generation. Final part of the work is focused on questions concerning the possibility of construction of new blocks of nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic and presents concrete recommendation from author´s point of view.
Unwarranted Energy Consuption Occurence Analysis Using of On-line Consuption Evaluation Provided by Remonte Reading Instalations
Samuel, Tomáš ; Kristek, Petr (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The target of this project is to show the analyses of unauthorized subscriptions electricity consumption and provide the option of distribution networks screening on-line through istalment the devices providing remote control. This way of elimination the causes of unauthorized consumption has been not commonly used in the Czech Republic yet, it is pre-pilot project. We should be announced about the ways of measuring the electricity consumption used in past and nowadays. At present, there is a significant increase in case of unauthorized donations of electricity. Operators of distribution networks pay increased attention to these issues and develop efforts to reduce non-technical losses in the distribution and trade in electricity, which in its consequences lead to increase in costs with an impact in electricity prices. On business conditions and performance of government in the energy sectors and amendment of some laws the definition of certain terms of irregular donation electricity characterized by the provision of energy bill, which is a precondition for their qualifications. The analyses of unauthorized consumption based on on-line measuring with tending to make it easier and cheaper is useful for future, of course it might substitute the pretty expensive ways of measuring actual energy consumption. The result of it should by presentation of numeric energy flux diagram. There is a growing frequency and social insecurity of unauthorized of electricity and it is primarily on the distribution system operator, consistently privileges resulting from the energy bill and other generally binding regulations. The system lead to revealing unjustified interference with measuring equipment for which data on consumption are registered or recorded incorrectly or other useful functions.
Barriers of renewable sources expansion in the Czech Republic
Lukášek, Kamil ; Březina, Ladislav (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
Currently, there is no publication that concerns the renewable resources comprehensively in the Czech Republic. This publication defines the renewable resources in general meaning. Whereas the physical and legal definitions of the renewable resources are different, text explains the principle of production of electricity according to the legal definition. When the renewable resources are being constructed, it's important to achieve the optimal operating conditions. To achieve these conditions, it's necessary to locate the renewable resource in the Czech Republic. The operations of renewable resources are partly financed by the country, in order to be more interesting for the investors. Further on, the conditions of connection to electrical distribution system are defined. The impact of renewable resources on electrical distribution system. Finally the conception of renewable electrical energy resource for region of East Bohemia is designed.
Stabilized operation and short-circuit conditions within E.ON 110kV power network supplied from Otrokovice 110kV switching station, during the period of 2012
Kuba, Petr ; Rampl, Martin (referee) ; Blažek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with steady running and short-circuit conditions in the 110 kV network, E. ON, fed from 110 kV Otrokovice. Substation Otrokovice ensures system transformation from 400 kV to 110 kV system through three transformers. In order to increase reliability of power supply and improved economy is considered to bridge the transition from the operation of two transformers in bridge operations of the three transformers. However, this brings with it significant worsening of short-circuit conditions in the 110 kV network. The task of this work is to evaluate and compare the two variants of operation in terms of steady running and short-circuit conditions in the network at 110 kV and then implement operational and technical measures. The introduction describes the electricity system and its parts. The theoretical part of the paper discusses ways of dealing with steady running and short circuit conditions of long lines. Practical part will deal with applications of knowledge on the network. The conclusion summarizes the most relevant information and the results assessed both variants.
Environmental and Economic Aspects by House Heating
