Křivka, Martin ; Kozmanová, Irena (advisor) ; Soběhart, Radek (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the social policy in Czechoslovakia immediately after the end of the Second World War. The first part analyzes the ideological sources of post-war social policy as formed within the resistance movements, home and abroad. The principal focus is on the key concepts contained in the document "Za svobodu do nové Československé republiky" and concepts emerging from the work of the Ministry of Social Care in London. The second part, through the means of analysis of legislation and work of Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, deals with particular steps in the area of social policy in the immediate post-war period -- in particular, how the Ministry overcame the lack of information on the extent of post-war damage and the non-existent or inadequate material, personnel and system facilities. Finally, the third part then analyses the role of the social issues in the election campaign to the Constitutional Assembly in 1946. The work is based on the analysis of primary sources from the Ministry of Social Care in London, the Ministry of Labour Protection and Welfare and the post war press, stored in the National Archives in Prague.
