The Relationship between Curator and Educator in Museums of Art

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of relations and cooperation between curators and educators in art galleries. The theoretical part introduces both professions, presents their work activities and qualification and competence requirements. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on a brief overview of the ongoing transformations in exhibition institutions, specifically describing the related new institutionalism and the educational turn. The practical part presents empirical research, the main aim of which is to find out what the collaboration between curators and educators in selected art galleries currently looks like. The data for the research are collected through semi-structured interviews with curators and educators from the galleries; questions are directed at mutual collaboration as well as previous experience, education and work background. The information obtained in the interviews during face-to-face meetings is analysed and interpreted together with information from the websites of the selected galleries. The research shows that all the galleries surveyed offer a variety of active programmes for different target groups, which shows a reflection of the ongoing changes and a certain shift towards an educational turn. This bachelor's thesis is focused on the issue of a nurse acting as an educator for relatives of cancer patients. Apart from professional medical care, cancer patients also need psychological support and care throughout all the stages of cancer. Support of their family is especially important. Education is a necessity for their psychological support. Part of this thesis deals with issues of breast cancer in female patients, the psychological difficulties they face during the illness and support of family members and education they can receive from a nurse. Elements making up the atmosphere in the teaching process

This diploma thesis is about the elements bringing up the atmosphere in educational process. The teoretical part characterizes the terms conected with atmosphere in educational process. Introduce you the factors what are leading the process and atmosphere is important for this thesis. The practical part focuses for the types of atmosphere what we use in educational process. The research is about the exploring what kind of technics the educators use for each atmosphere and then we verify it with the questionnaire to the educants.
Analysis of conditions of Health education for children with mental disability at school

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the conditions of health education of children with an intellectual disability at school and to find out their knowledge of health and their attitudes about it. First teoretical part focuses on terminology and classification of intellectual disabilities. In this part, the possibilities of upbringing and education of children with an intellectual disability are stated and the South Bohemian Region in which the research took place is specified. At the beginning of the practical part, some cooperating schools situated in this area are described. Two different surveys focused on different groups of respondents were created. First survey was intended for pedagogues and assistents in practical and special primary schools. It provided basic identifying information about individual respondents, their experience, methods and opinions. The second survey was intended for children with an intellectual disability in regular primary schools and it provides basic identifying information about individual respondents, their knowledge and attitude to healthy lifestyle. The evaluation of questionnaires shows that children with an intellectual disability have good conditions for health education and good knowledge of basic principles of health, however they are not able to adopt it and follow these rules in everyday life.
