Design and optimization of a frame for a machine tool
Weigl, František ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the optimization of the machine tool bed. In the first part of the thesis, individual machine tools and their distribution are briefly described. The following is a description of the influences that affect the static and dynamic properties of the bed, a brief overview of the materials used in the production of machine tools and a short overview of optimization methods. The second part of the work focuses on the creation of a model of the bed, which is used for mathematical optimization using FEM in the ANSYS Workbench. This serves to find the optimal input parameters of the bed, which will improve the static and dynamic properties of the bed. The optimization continues with changing the topology of the bed and using alternative materials. The result of this work is four optimized models, which are compared with the original configuration.
Design and optimization of a headstock for machine tools
Lekeš, Petr ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and optimization of a headstock for machine tool. Thesis was focused to comparison of several types of slide-ways and linear guides of headstock, considering their static and dynamic rigidity. An overview in the field of machine tools, their static and dynamic properties, use materials and design of headstocks, considering types of guideways, types of guideways drives and types of drives of spindle was made. Among the other main goals is included design of several types of guideway of headstock for horizontal machine tool, elaboration of computational models and evaluation of results.
Computational simulation of vibrations of rubber damper
Krupa, Lukáš ; Návrat, Tomáš (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with computational modelling of rubber damper using Finite element method (FEM). This thesis includes experimental measurement of material properties of rubber subjected to static and dynamic loading and their implementation into viscoelastic and hyperelastic material models with respect to given task. Dependance of dynamic stiffness on loading frequency obtained from the simulation is validated with experimental measurement. In the end the difference between results is investigated and possible causes of that are introduced.
Comparison of machine tool structures from traditional and non-traditional materials
Tichý, Antonín ; Hermanský, Dominik (referee) ; Merenus, Ondřej (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is compare materials in machine tool structures. The introduction part is about literature retrieval in field of constructional components in machine frames. There are discribe the indiviual parts of machine structures their properties and influence, witch affect their static toughness, stabilty and accuracy of the whole milling machine. The most important part is focused to the materials witch constructions of machine are made from. The main of this thesis is a practical part, where is designed the own model of milling machine solved on the basis of experiences gain. The important choose was appropriate topology and materials witch the machine frame was made.
Computational analysis of column for horizontal boring centre
Fargač, Michal ; Vosynek, Petr (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
The theoretical study of this thesis deals with different approaches that can be used to optimize the topology of various structures. Main attributes and principles which they are based on of individual methods are discussed. The first point of the practical part is to design the model for computational analysis of stand and other machining centre parts based on real machine TOS FU. Afterwards, the model is analyzed to determine the dynamic characteristic of the machine. Subsequently, several changes of the stand design are performed in order to improve the dynamic behavior. Eventually, new stand kernel is designed which aims to enhance these dynamic characteristic. This model is analyzed again and the results are compared with the original form of the machining centre.
Description of machine tool frames.
Míčka, Martin ; Matějka, Petr (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This work describes the machine tool frames via background research. There are basic requirements for the frames included in this work. It is focusing especially on static and dynamic rigidity. Thereinafter you can find in my work all the ways of making the frames and also the materials which are used during their production. Last but not least I am presenting some examples of constructions single parts of the frame and all the ways of their attachment to the ground.
