Relation between the Vehicle Speed and the Consequences of an Accident
Sedlák, Vít ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with relation between car velocity and the impacts od traffic accidents. The basic keywords are described in the first part of the thesis and legislative regulations follow in the second chapter. The third and the fourth chapters introduce particular sanctions and statistics concerning the Czech Republic and they are compared to foreign countries. The influence of active safety on traffic accidents consequences is solved in the next part of the thesis. Subsequent figures and tables containing diffrent parametres are provided to demonstrate the relations between various crash car speed and particular braking distances. The tables also present mutual relations between rising initial velocity and changes in a numbers. The seventh chapter analyses a few selected case studies of real accidents and the final chapter focuses on individual relations between velocity and its impacts.
Analysis of Bicycle Movement When Riding in a Straight Line
Haluska, Roman ; Krejsa, Ivan (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
In this thesis entitled ,,Analysis of motion of the bicycle when riding in a straight line”, I deal with the history of the bicycle, classifications and descriptions of the various parts of the bicycle and the analysis of accidents. The main objective is to analyze the movement of cyclists (bicycle) in a straight line in the implementation of tasks, typical for him - pedaling, showing a change in direction, or looking back for him. In conclusion evaluation, which can then be used in the processing of judicial opinions by experts.

Road-traffic accident rate
Haluska, Roman ; Mandák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with description of the former state and reviews reconstructions dangerous sections of roads where there were frequent accidents with large material damage and heavy or fatal injuries. This thesis describes and proposed further preventive action, particularly for pedestrians and cyclists, which leads to a reduction in traffic accidents. At the conclusion of this work is also recommended for drivers to attend a course on the polygon circuit to increase driving experience of a different kind of road surface and for different weather conditions (dry surface, rain, ice, snow).
Road safety inspection in the Zlin region
Holcová, Veronika ; Švanda, Michal (referee) ; Matuszková, Radka (advisor)
The topic of this Diploma's thesis is Road safety inspection in the Zlín region. To start off, I was given 14 dangerous locations in the region of Zlín by the Road Services of Kroměříž; 7 of them at crossroads and 7 outside of crossroads. Then I analysed accident risks and compared the locations among each other according to safety features. Based on the outcome of my analysis, then I chose 2 locations at crossroads and 2 outside of crossroads which I personally visited and conducted analysis on how safe they are. I uncovered potential risks which could lead to traffic accidents and suggested solutions that eliminate or minimise that risk.
Defensive drive
Zapletalová, Kateřina ; Tylšar, Vladimír (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of driver education and practice safe, dangerous and aggressive driving. The aim is to map the issue of safe and defensive driving and define the principles of defensive driving. The first part deals with the theory of defensive driving, which analyzes psychologically and legally sides of that problem. Another part deals with road safety, which is described in the context of direct and indirect indicators of road safety. The research then analyzes in detail the specific situation on the road that leads to accidents. This analysis is performed on based data of real accidents. Of particular situations accidents are then defined the principles of defensive driving.

Selected Measurements of the Motion of Bicycles - Braking and Travelling Around Bends
Prčík, Stanislav ; Krejsa, Ivan (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
Diploma thesis Selected measurements of the motion of bicycles – braking and ridein the curve analyses problematic manoeuvres of bicycle riders according to the most typical accidents including bikes. There will be given statistics of bikers´ participation on accident amount that happened within last few years. The measurements of bicycles moving around bands of specific radiuses as a situation of most bicycle accidents will be described in the next part of this thesis. There will be also specified the values of average bicycle speeds when driving in curves with various radiuses according to types of bicycles, sex and experiences of the riders and will be an output of this thesis. Further on there will be measurements of braking in the direct line on various surfaces with different types of bikes and different brakes used.
Analysis of the Lateral Displacement Time of Motocycles
Friedel, Daniel ; Tylšar, Vladimír (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
Diploma thesis named Analysis of the lateral displacement time of motorcycles captures formation and development of motorcycles, description of construction and proper techniques for riding a motorcycle. The main aim of this work is to organise and perform the measurement of the lateral displacement and deceleration of the motorcycles. These values will serve for forensic experts. Before the measurement was proposed methodology for the measurement of the lateral displacement by used two cameras and long chalk line. Follow measurement and evalution measurement of the lateral displacement and deceleration. Outputs from this thesis are values of the lateral acceleration necessary for calculation of the shortest lateral displacement time of the motorcycle and 96 videos with course and result of measurements.
Interpretation of traffic accident analysis results in relation to related legal decisions
Běloušková, Kristina ; Tylšar, Vladimír (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
The diploma thesis titled Interpretation of traffic accident analysis results in relation to related legal decision deals with the interpretation of legal decisions accidents with not giving right of way. The main goal of this thesis is to find an established line for assessing culpability for comparable accident situations. Before the analysis of the 230 court rulings measurement is performed to estimate the distance an speed, because it is closely connected with right of way. In the context of theoretical part is characterized by a right of way, an expert in criminal proceedings, the road traffic regulations, penalties and the factors that influence us while driving.
