Applying Fundamental Analysis When Investing In Stocks Of Selected European Technology Companies

This thesis deals with the fundamental analysis of stocks of selected European technology companies. This type of analysis is the most widely used method of valuation of the shares. The first part describes the theoretical background of the analysis current economic situation, regression analysis, analysis of corporate shares and methods of intercompany comparison necessary for practical application. In the practical part focuses on the analysis of selected companies and selecting evaluation indicators. Subsequently is determined by corporate analysis the current intrinsic value of the shares. In conclusion, a comparison is made of firms using the methods of intercompany comparison. Based on the results of the analysis will be proposed recommendations for the best investment.

The aim of this master`s thesis is to perform fundamental analysis and determine the intrinsic value of Pfizer Inc share. There are three main parts of fundamental analysis - global, industry and company analysis, which includes a financial analysis. Using the chosen methods the value of shares is determined. The calculated intrinsic value is then compared to the market price and the investment recommendation is proposed.

The detail is given to the specifics of fundamental analysis. These data are used in the practical part of the work at different levels of fundamental analysis. The main part consists of the actual determination of the intrinsic value of the shares of New World Resources Plc on whose basis the work mentioned specific investment recommendation.

This bachelor thesis creates an analytical advice on opportunity for putting money into Philip Morris company's stocks. This advice can be based on many types of analyses like technologic or fundamental. The fundamental analysis is a method of securities price analysis by involving all substantial influences. The aim of fundamental analysis is finding out the valuation of the selected stock depended on the position of this stock on the securities market. The first part describes the most important theoretical knowledge which is necessary to make a successful implementation. Practical part is divided into two section. The first section is focused on calculation the internal share value by four methods. The methods are dividend discount model, two profit models, cash-flow model and historical models. The calculate internal share value by this method tells the potential investor that the stock is undervalued. It is because the internal share value is higher than the market price. The final part of this bachelor thesis is creating an analytical advice for the potential investor. From this calculated result an analysist can suggest buying this stock.

Evaluation of effectiveness of selected methods of fundamental analysis on a sample of Russian stocks

The diploma thesis is focused on testing of effectiveness of selected methods of fundamental analysis on a sample of Russian stocks. The introductory part lists briefly different ways of describing changes of stock prices. The second chapter explains key principles of fundamental analysis with focus on models which are used for determination of intrinsic value of stocks, and the necessary inputs. The following chapter describes development of Russian stock market in last two decades. The last chapter includes stock evaluation of nine Russian companies at the end of 2007 via DCF equity model and dividend discount models. Effectiveness of this analysis is then evaluated by comparison of particular stock return with return of the market portfolio represented by the MICEX index during the three-year time.
