Current Situation of czech Publishing in non-artificial Music

The goal of this thesis was to evaluate current situation of czech publishing in non-artificial music, primary in last five years. This thesis also deals with digital production, current situation in the area of piracy and ATCA and also deals with the topic called ?Loudness war?. New digital forms and ways of selling of musical materials

The Master thesis deals with new forms of digital music sheets, selling musical materials and makes proposal for realization and financial options for project of music sheets database. The first chapter concerns the definition of digitalization, protection and security of digital data, and discusses a digitalization as an object of Czech cultural policy. The second chapter deals with digital and digitalized musical materials, with mention of music notation software and introduces the non-profit electronic resources of music sheets. The topic of the third chapter is development of music publishing, selling of musical materials and development of copyright in music. In the final fourth chapter the proposal for implementation of the project and possible funding of music sheets database is described.
Eschatology of the Film Strip

The film industry has been recently undergoing a significant technological change, which has made the traditional film strip an obsolete medium. The thesis called "Eschatology of the Film Strip" tries to define the basic differences between the photochemical and the electronical tradition of the moving image, and critically asses the transformation of the market. The thesis draws attention to many paradoxes caused by the pressured implementation of digital technologies, and argues for the classical photochemical film as a creative tool in it's own terms, able to find it's habitat in the context of fine arts. The author reflects upon the possibilities of new uses for the film strip and introduces the research project Kinoaparat.cz, focused on enlightenment in the field of traditional film art and technology.
Establishing a TV station in the digital era

This thesis on the "Establishing of a TV station in the digital era" describes and evaluates the influence of digital technologies and changing viewer behavior on television industry. It analyzes the Czech TV market regarding television operators, distribution technologies, the development of viewing shares and ad revenues and developing trends. The aim of this thesis is to show the status quo of the Czech TV market and to examine opportunities for the establishing of new television stations. Chapters of the first part focus on the current state of the Czech television market, main operators of TV stations, legislative, distribution platforms, assessment of ad revenues and the evaluation of research results. The second part of this thesis focuses on a case study on the establishment of a TV station.
Influence and impact of digital film distribution on art-house cinemas

Digitalization of cinemas brings the biggest change in the distribution of films in the last decades and its impact affects all cinemas worldwide. The new programming options, extended range of alternative content and deeper dramaturgy are among other news which have been brought by digitalization. Are these new opportunities sufficient to make the classic and art-house cinemas competitive with multiplex? The content of this work is analyse of the art-house cinemas in the Czech Republic. It explores the impact of digital distribution of films on these cinemas. Financing and technological changes which cinemas had to go through during the process of digitalization is the main focus of the work. The overall evaluation of the impact of digitization on the art-house cinemas is based on a comparison of art-house cinemas and their data relating to the digitalization and results of the questionnaire which has been sent to selected cinemas. The last part contains a brief comparison of the process of digitization of cinemas in the Czech Republic, The UK and Slovakia.
