Mixture theory applications in blood flow simulation
Michalová, Marie ; Hron, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Souček, Ondřej (referee)
In the beginning we outline some important properties of blood and de- scribe it from the biological point of view. In the next section we show how we derived our model based on the mixture theory. For the final model we suggest a mathematical method based on the finite element method and subject it to tests for flow in a simple domain. In the middle part we prove the existence of solution for a model with simplified constitutive relation for the stress tensor, which still includes an anisotropic model for the platelet diffusion. In the last section we show numerical results. We start with sim- ple testing computations in simple domains, followed by computations in a two-dimensional simulation of an aneurysm, and narrowed blood vessel re- spectively. In the end we also show some illustrative computations in three dimensions. 1
Internet and mobile phone diffusion and its determinants
Kračmerová, Veronika ; Polák, Petr (advisor) ; Serdarevič, Goran (referee)
This thesis examines determinants of an Internet and mobile phones diffusion and potentially different impacts of these determinants in case of developing and developed countries. For this purpose panel data from 199 countries for period from 1995 to 2012 are used. There is a number of variables including economic, technological, political and human capital factors. Benefits of this thesis are that the research uses updated dataset and it also adds new variables into its econometric model. This thesis also examines in detail the adoption of information and communication technologies in the Czech Republic, which has not been published previously. One of the conclusions is a finding that penetration of mobile phones and the Internet is faster in developing countries than in developed countries. Fixed effects method in the global testing also showed that the economic wealth of a country is an important determinant for the Internet only for developed countries, while for the mobile phones the GDP is a significant variable in both groups of countries. Analysis of the Czech Republic brings different results for both technologies, but the unemployment rate, which was added to the basic model, has proven to be an important determinant for both the Internet and mobile phones. Key words: Mobile phone,...

Terminal Strategy for Innovation
Zaporozhchenko, Dmytro ; Linhart, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Zbyněk (referee)
Thesis is dedicated to the topic: "Preparation of sale of Innovation with a Company" and was applied to the innovation of Food Delivery Service. The main objective is to quantify factors for innovation and sales with the company prior to the approval of the project and assess whether and under what conditions this sale is effective and real. Marketability is demonstrated on turnover in segment categories as Age and marital status. Reliability turnover in the segment has been demonstrated by ratio between weighted arithmetic mean and median. The partial goal is to identify whether, and how much innovation can give the customer a sense of freedom and care when using this innovation. The thesis contains theoretical and methodological part a survey to determine the potential sales growth in the segment. This is an innovation Delivery of food to customers focusing on the younger and older age groups living independently. Advanced statistical methods were not applied because the normality of the basic database was excluded.
