Matrices, Determinant and Body Volume

In his thesis describes the basic properties of matrices, determinants and their use in display issues between vector spaces. In the final chapters devoted to determinants and its applications, which indicates the relation between determinants and calculation of volume. Subsequently determinanti describes how to use in calculating the elements using multiple integrals. Another possible application is the so-called Cramerovo rule which allows us to solving systems of linear equations.

This bachelor's thesis deals with the calculating of the position of the GPS receiver using the method of Cramer's rule. Subsequently, the errors generated during the transmission are described. The geodetic coordinates for the calculated position in space are introduced. The calculations of the receiver position by Cramer's rule and the calculations in geodesy are performed using MATLAB.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify the impact of selected indicators on the profitability of oil futures contracts and the profitability of shares of companies operating in the field of oil production. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the possibilities of investing in oil, presents the most important methods of stock valuation and determinants affecting oil prices. A separate chapter is devoted to investor sentiment. Where methods of measuring sentiment and expressing attention are presented with the help of searching for a certain term in Google Trends. The practical part is devoted to the relationship between the performance of ExxonMobil stock, WTI crude oil futures contracts and other selected indicators through correlation and regression analysis. Based on the information obtained from the theoretical and practical parts of the work, recommendations for investors are formulated.

Angles, areas, volumes: dot product and determinant

This bachelor thesis deals with the introduction of scalar product and determinant, which are important tools of analytic geometry. The purpose of the thesis is to provide a parallel interpretation of these two key concepts of advanced algebra - the dot product and the determinant - primarily from a geometric, not an algebraic, point of view. The aim of the thesis is to show how both representations can be derived just by solving geometric problems in two-dimensional space and then how to transfer them to three-dimensional space. The first part of the work is devoted to finding the angle between two vectors in the plane and to calculating the area of a triangle. Both of problems are solved in several ways and then the scalar product and determinant are derived. The second part of the work is devoted to three-dimensional space, in particular the angle between two vectors, lines and planes and the volume of a tetrahedron and parallelogram. This is then supplemented by the introduction of some notions of linear algebra, an investigation of the algebraic properties of the dot product and determinant, and a generalization of the notions to the n-dimensional space. Exercises and problems in linear algebra

The aim of this thesis is to create a collection of solved examples and problems of linear algebra, which could serve as a learning tool for the first-year students of the Faculty of Education of University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The most important part of this thesis is the electronic processing of the collection in a program GeoGebra and its visual interpretation of examples and problems by 3D pictures, QR codes and hyperlinks that specify the solutions.

Respondents of demonstrative determinants (contrastive corpus analysis)

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the corresponding means of the Spanish demonstrative determinants in the Czech language and their following analysis in corpus. There are described the characteristics of the determinants and demonstratives on the basis of reference books. The second, practical part works with the parallel corpus InterCorp by analysing Czech equivalents of the Spanish demonstrative determinants.

Substantivized infinitive in Italian with respect to the other means of deverbal derivations of nouns

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is a substantivized infinitive in the relationship with other ways of deverbal derivation of nouns. The first part deals with basic terms necessary for the objective of substantivized infinitive, then with all possible determinants of substantivized infinitive, with his kinds, with syntactical elements and with a function of this type of infinitive. Some possibilities of czech translations will be mentioned to get a complete view of this phenomenon. The practical part will deal shortly with a general creation of new words in italian. As a matter of priority it will be focused on the deverbal derivation of nouns and on a comparison of substantivized infinitives with action nouns.

Generic use of articles in French This Diploma thesis deals with the generic use of articles in the French language. It is divided into the theoretical and the experimental part. After the broader introduction into the issue of determinants, the most important part of the work treats genericity expressed in French by the definite article in singular and plural as well as by the indefinite article in singular. Firstly, the existing research on the subject of generic articles is studied, including the presentation of various approaches and principal theories, then is formulated proper syntactic and semantic interpretation of genericity which is finally verified in the experimental part of the thesis based on the analysis of model sentences. The Absence of Determiners in the Nominal Phrase of the present-day French

The first aim of this work is to describe the issues of nominal syntagma as well as the absence of determinant that is connected to it. The other goal is to examine one type of this absence in a journalistic corpus L´Est Républicain. The analysis in this corpus will evaluate the frequency, the semantics and the syntactic functions of the chosen phenomenon in journalistic context. The work is divided into two parts: the theoretical and the practical one. In the first part, all the terms connected to the nominal syntagma will be defined. The nominal syntagma along with its nature and its parts will be described. At the same time, the cases of the absence of determinant in present-day French will be explained. The second part contains quantitative and qualitative analysis in the corpus L´Est Républicain. Subject of research are juxtaposed and coordinative enumerations in a different extent and in the different syntactic positions.
