Management activities of free time teachers - of the main leaders of children's camps

The final thesis deals with the topic of sequential managerial functions performed by the chief executive of a children's camp. It is based on the assumption that the head chief performs all managerial functions in the preparation and implementation of the action sequence. On the basis of the specific literature read, the theoretical part characterizes each sequence functions - planning, organization, personnel and control. It specifies the children's summer camp as a child's recovery time period and clarifies the rules for the organization, including legal aspects. It also assigns specific jobs for the head chief of the camp before and during camp for each sequential management functions. The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey among the main leaders of the childrens' camps, for who are graduates of the course qualifying for the specific position. Analysis of the results showed that the head chief, regardless of the childrens' camp's operator, perform all the sequential management functions at least half of these activities. The highest rate was found at activities carried out by the main leaders, who work all year round as educator of a free time, and are employed in the Youth Centre or in The Leisure Time Centre.
