The Town book of Pacov from the 1475-1683

6 Annotation The aim of the thesis is to introduce an urban book of Pacov in term of a diplomatic analysis. This urban book was established from the second half of 15 century to the second half of 17th century. The actual analysis of the registers is introduced by two sub-chapters. The first one is focused on the socio-politico-administrative development of the areas of Pelhřimov and Pacov during the late medieval and early modern period. The environment of Pacov is directly reflected in the section devoted to municipal laws, which aim is to put the content of privileges issued for Pacov to a broader social context. The sub-sections describing the outward signs of the urban book, an analysis of the registers from a diplomatic-content analysis point of view and the urban book in the context of the written production of the municipal office are the central part of the analysis of the urban book of Pacov. The groups sorting of different types of registers is based on the structure of municipal book as Ludmila Sulitková has applied to the urban environment of Brno books in the context of the urban book development in the Middle Ages. This classification is based on the results of a longtime research, whose origin can be associated with Václav Vojtíšek. The main consideration in the discussion of each register...
"And these soldiers have come to us..." The town of Slaný during the Thirty Years War as seen through the papers of its municipal government.

During the Thirty Years War the life of the inhabitants of Central Bohemian Town Slaný was (like the life in other central European towns in this period) mainly influenced by soldiers and various war events. Nevertheless, many changes in their lives were brought by the pawn and subsequent sale of the town to nobleman Jaroslav Bořita z Martinic. This thesis is mainly focused on the municipal administration, especially on war events impacts on the town government and also on the new elements in municipal administration related to the change of its legal status, respectively on encroachment of the new manorial lords on the municipal administration. It also deals with mechanisms used by municipal officials (authorities) to protect the lives and property of town's inhabitant against the rampage soldiery. It is not omitted the interactions occurred between the townspeople and soldiers including self-preserving mechanisms and adaptation strategies that allow them cope with soldiers presence as well.

The Court of Appeal in Bohemia between 1749 and 1790 (1850) This thesis describes the development of The Court of Appeal in Bohemia between the years 1749 and 1850. The main aim of this thesis is the description of the role of this court in the system of justice in the second half of the eighteen century and the description of the effects of reforms of Maria Theresa and Joseph II on the constitution, structure and function of the court. In the form, which the court acquired at the time of the rule of Joseph II, the court remained for another sixty years. The Court of Appeal in Bohemia was founded in the year 1548. From the beginning it was a royal court and was empowered to hear appeals of municipal courts. Its competence was extended during the ages. On the contrary the district of the court was limited during the eighteen century only to Bohemia. In the year 1850 the court was transformed into Higher Regional Court in Prague.

The theses called Volby do městské rady v Soběslavi v první polovině 18. století is daeling with a city administration in Soběslav of schwarzenberg nobility in the first half of 18th century. In the first part of my theses I introduce a form of the city administration with an emphasis on its most important institutions as a city council, a group of municipal older and a reeve. In the next chapter I describe a way of a councillor election, a group of municipal older election and a reeve election in which the city community participated. I use unique survived lists originated from elections that registered votes. In the third part of my theses I focus on a ceremony of ending activity of city institutions and replacing free places with successors. The Master theses comes from sources placed in the city archive Tábor in the fund of Archive of the city Soběslav and in the archive Třeboň in the fund of Large estate Třeboň.

Elections to the municipal council in Telč (1848-1914)

The bachelor thesis deals with elections to the municipal council in Telč between the years 1848 and 1914. It is divided into three parts. In the first one, we introduce the cultural and economical background of the city and it is supplemented with inclusion of the city into the system of national administration during the period of our interest. On the basis of available documentation, the second part tries to characterize legal standards dealing with elections and municipal council, more precisely a Temporary city council, Municipal regulations of Margaviate of Moravia and Electoral regulations of Margaviate of Moravia. The third and the key part is focused on municipal elections in Telč, and nominal lists of the members and deputy officers are put together mainly on the basis of the commitee meeting reports.
