Comparison of the chosen parts of the Social System in the Czech and Slovak Republic in years 2003-2016

The thesis focuses on subsystems of social politics, specifically pension system and family politics. The core of the thesis is a comparison of these two areas of social system in Czech and Slovak republic. The theoretical part focuses on the development of social politics after the collapse of Czechoslovakia, describes types of pension systems and forms of family politics. The practical part describes the differences between the systems. Apart from the comparison of the functioning of the pension structure, the thesis also compares the countries from the demographical point of view and types of family support. The thesis tries to answer whether there are any cons in Slovak system, Czech system can take an inspiration from. Conclusion of this thesis should reveal whether are there any possible implications of the Slovak system into the Czech one.

Comparison of pension system in Czech and Slovak republic

The main aim of this dissertation is to compare the pension systems of Czech and Slovak Republic. The first part is dealing with the theory of pension systems and places emphasis on main philosophic concepts, from which these come from. The second part describes main attributes of Czech pension system and points out, that its reform is really needed. The third part of this dissertation analyses pension reform, which has been adopted in the Slovak Republic. Its aim is to consider all positives and negatives of this reform as well. The further development of Slovak pension system after adoption of this reform examines the fourth part of this dissertation. The last part compares the Czech and Slovak pension system and tries to evaluate, which conception of pension reform would be the best for the Czech Republic.

Slovenská dôchodková reforma

Práca sa zaoberá dôchodkovým systémom najmä na Slovensku, ale aj ako to funguje vo všeobecnosti. V prvej teoretickej časti autor predstavuje dôchodkový systém, jeho charakteristiku, výhody a nevýhody. V druhej časti analyzuje problémy, príjmy, výdaje a celkovú vybilancovanosť starého dôchodkového systému. Následne poukazuje na obdobie reformy a zmeny systému. Ako to bolo riešené na Slovensku resp. ako sa to dá vyriešiť inak. Cieľom práce je zistiť skutočný stav tohto dôchodkového systému.
