Liquid analysis sensor
Hanus, Martin ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Kosina, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the mixing of liquids issues. The simulation of structure for mixing of liquids and evaluation of parametres which have most significant influence on mixing of liquids was made with help of COMSOL programm. In the next section of thesis the quality of electrodes used for cyclic voltammetry made on LTCC by thick layer technology was determined. In the end of this thesis the 3D structure for mixing of liquids was made. The quality of mixing was controlled by cyclic voltammetry.
Carbon materials for supercapacitors
Moncoľ, Maroš ; Macalík, Michal (referee) ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor)
This project deals with various carbon electrodes in order to achieve the maximal capacitance of supercapacitors. In a theoretical part of this work, is described physical substance of supercapacitors, energy storage principles and carbon based materials. In an experimental part, is described preparation of electrodes, results and evaluation of measurement.
Optimization of electrochemical sensor for detection in microvolume
Gajdoš, Libor ; Pekárek, Jan (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis describes optimization and modification of standard thick-film electrochemical sensor to be able to be used for detection in microvolumes. In the theoretical part, the thick film technology is described. The work is then focused on the wettability of surfaces followed by introduction to electrochemistry and electro-analytical methods. In the experimental part, screen-printing of various types of thick film pastes on ceramic substrates for determination of their wettability and the following modification of the sensors with thick-film paste and with Parylene vaporization can be found, as well as the basic electrochemical measurements in microvolume using the modified sensor. Finally the results are summarized in conclusion.
Nanostructured surfaces for electrochemical detection
Dzuro, Matej ; Hrdý, Radim (referee) ; Drbohlavová, Jana (advisor)
This work deals with the preparation of gold nanostructures for future usage in electrochemical sensors and biosensors, methods for their characterization and production. The emphasis is focused on the template-based electrodeposition method of gold and on study of the effect of manufacturing conditions on physical properties, mainly electrical and topological of nanostructures. Thesis is focused also on overall function and sensitivity of the gold nanostructured electrode.
Influence of carbon on possitive electrode of Ni-Cd accumulators
Janečka, Marek ; Dvořák, Petr (referee) ; Chladil, Ladislav (advisor)
Master’s thesis is deals with the effect of carbon additives on the positive electrode in the NiCd batteries. It examines whether the positive electrode material enrichment of carbon additives to achieve improved internal parameters of conductivity and better contact with the electrode materials in a discharged. Galvanostatic cycling and electro-chemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) are used for evaluation of graphite aditives.
Properties study of gel polymer electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries
Zítka, Jan ; Dvořák, Petr (referee) ; Musil, Michal (advisor)
The present work deals with the research and development of gel polymer electrolytes and their applications. Thesis talks about the mechanisms that take place in gel electro-lytes. It also discusses the electroanalytical methods used in assessing the gel electro-lytes. The main focus of the work is the preparation of gel polymer electrolytes and compared their properties using methods of impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltam-metry and methods of measurement of transference numbers. Properties electrodes materials for alcaline accumulators
Řihák, Lukáš ; Vrbický, Jiří (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This thesis is involved in basical properties of electrode materials for alkaline accumulators. This thesis describes the possibilities of capacity stabilisation of nickel electrode to be stable for highest number of cycles. Thesis also consider modification of properties of electrode materials on the base of nickel hydroxide by using dopes (aluminum, manganese). Measuration proceeded on the thin film electrodes created by electrodeposition. Measuration of properties of electrodes proceeded by cyclic voltammetry and frequency analyzis.
Gel polymer electrolytes with nanoparticles
Szotkowski, Radek ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Jahn, Michal (advisor)
This master‘s thesis concerns gel polymer electrolytes formed on a methyl methacrylate base with selected types of nanoparticles. In the thesis are also analyzed the methods for measuring electrochemical properties. The practical portion deals with sample preparations of gel polymer electrolytes with different contents of alkaline salt in a solvent, creating gels with different nanoparticle content and comparing gel polymer electrolytes polymerized with heat and UV radiation. The thesis deals with the evaluation of these samples from the viewpoint of electrical conductivity and potential windows as well as thermal analysis of selected samples.
Gel polymer electrolytes for supercapacitors
Bláha, Vladimír ; Musil, Michal (referee) ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with supercapacitors and polymer gel electrolytes. The practical part deals with the preparation of samples of polymer gel electrolyte with addition of alkali salts by measuring their electrical conductivity and evaluation potential windows.
Effect of pretreatment methods on electrochemical behavior of screen-printed carbon electrodes
Weiss, Vojtěch ; Drbohlavová, Jana (referee) ; Majzlíková, Petra (advisor)
The aim of this work is the thick-film electrochemical sensor characterization. In the theoretical part, the thesis describes sensor, three-electrode system, characterization electrode using cyclic voltammetry and electrode pretreatment methods. The experimental part compares the results of cyclic voltammetry of bare carbon electrodes, chemically pre-treated electrodes, electrochemically pre-treated electrodes and electrodes modified by plasma oxidation.
