The Study of ZnO Crystal Growth in Supersaturated Alkaline Solution
Bannert, Tomáš ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Chladil, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the study of growth of zinc oxide crystals from supersaturated solutions using a scanning electron microscope and XRD methods. The work is divided into a theoretical and an experimental part. The theoretical part analyses issues related to the principle of operation of electrochemical cells with an emphasis on Ni-Zn batteries and phenomena limiting the life and efficiency of Ni-Zn batteries with a focus on phenomena that affect precipitation processes of zinc oxide crystals. It also analyses and compares the appropriateness of the methods that have been used to study the growth of the prepared zinc oxide crystals. The experimental part describes the preparation of a supersaturated solution, the process of each analysis and its evaluation. The results of each method are compared with the theoretical assumptions and among themselves. The experimental part also contains a chapter dealing with the design of in situ X-ray diffraction analysis methods of the obtained zinc oxide crystals.
In dust we trust
Rujbr, Kamil ; Opekar), Ondřej (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
Through the papers and canvas I tell the story of everyday addiction that surrounds us. I start from my personal feelings and suck the atmosphere of the city and places from the edge of society. This theme is presented in the form of abstract drawings and paintings, in which certain phases and processes are displayed. I capture chaos in new forms so that the image, even within the technologically advanced and in all directions of the expanding visual culture, does not lose the liveliness, sense and critical justification for its further existence. The paintings and drawings are a visit to the world of people who are not the majority of the world and are all in a way lonely and lonely in their own way.

The secular equation for surface waves in 2D anisotropic elastodynamics
Červ, Jan ; Plešek, Jiří
The secular equation for the surface (Rayleigh-edge) waves propagating in a thin semiinfinite anisotropic elastic continuum is derived. The secular equation is obtained as a quartic one for the squared wave velocity. Some numerical examples are shown.
Strukturní studie tenkých titaničitých vrstev
Šolcová, Olga ; Matějová, Lenka ; Krejčíková, Simona ; Matěj, Z. ; Kužel, R. ; Strýhal, Z.
Our study is focused on the relationship between the number of oxyethylene units in nonionic surfactants used for preparation of a set of various titania layers by dip-coating via the sol-gel method and morphology, roughness, type of titania phase and textural properties of the prepared titania layers. Additionally, the contact angle determination as a rapid and easy method suitable for evaluation of the surface quality of the prepared titania layer has been tested, too.
Study of the effect of the circulation pump on the Calcium nitrate tetrahydrate crystal size. Comments to the technical tender by Messo, No. 96-014/00 rev. 0
Nývlt, Jaroslav
Engineering analysis of the effect of the circulation pump Swenson on the destruction of calcium nitrate tetrahydrate crystals in the NP slurry obtained in the production of combined NPK fertilizers in Lovochemie Lovosice; criticizm of the tender by Messo (Germany) with the emphasis of the attainable crystal size.
