Relationship between Self-Efficacy, Intrinsic Motivation and Creative Performance in University Students

The present study examined the relationship between creative self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, and creative performance in the population of Czech university students. Creativity is currently an increasingly valued skill and if we want to develop and use creativity effectively, whether in ourselves or in others, we need to know its wider context - what creativity is, how and under what circumstances it manifests itself, and what other factors influence creative performance. Previous studies have pointed to the existence of positive correlations between intrinsic motivation and creative performance, as well as between creative self-efficacy and creative performance, but the interaction between these three variables has not been sufficiently investigated. The theoretical section of this thesis provides an overview of the basic background for examining these relationships. The aim of the research, which was conducted on a sample of 157 university students (M = 24.8, SD = 6.45), was to examine the relationships between creative self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, and creative performance.
