BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Matylda Řiháková Supervisor: Mgr. Soňa Marečková Opponent: Name of the bachelor thesis: Compensation exercise for one-sided profession Subtitle: Medic Pathologist Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of application of autotherapy to a selected group of workers whose work is carried out in forced positions. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the problems of spinal pathology including anatomy, ki- nesiology and ergonomics of sitting and standing are discussed. The basic characteris- tics of the therapeutic methods, which are used in the practical part, are also given. The practical part includes a case report of one selected patient representing the category of physicians of pathologists, for which, according to the information provi- ded, an exercise plan was made. After a two-month therapeutic intervention, the applicability of this type of therapy to a given range of workers was assessed. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to create educational material for use in the prevention or to compensate for already created health problems in a given group of doctors due to workload. The next aim is to publish educational material in faculty bulletin. Key words: compensation exercise, one-sided profession,...

The Occurrence of Lower Crossed Syndrome in Sprinters and the Possibilities of Influencing it in Physiotherapy
Zikmundová, Naďa ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Novotná, Irena (referee)
Title: The Occurrence of Lower Crossed Syndrome in Sprinters and the Possibilities of Influencing it in Physiotherapy Objectives: To determine the prevalence of lower crossed syndrome in specific group of sprinters and compare it with control group. To compare occurrence especially in men and women in sprint. Methods: To obtain informations from the research were used clinical tests- muscle test by Janda for testing muscle strength of m. rectus abdominis (trunk flexion test), m. gluteus maximus (test of extension in hip with contemporary flexion in knee), m. gluteus medius et minimus (test of abduction in the hip joint) and examination of frequently shortened muscle groups by Janda for examination shortening of the hip flexor muscles (m. iliopsoas, m. rectus femoris and m. tensor fascia latae) m. quadratus lumborum- lateral variant and paravertebral back muscles. To select probands into research and control groups was created nonstandard questionnaire with open and closed questions. In the research there were 40 probands. Results: The results show that the lower crossed syndrome by Janda is more common in sports recreationally individuals than sprinters. Furthermore the lower crossed syndrome by Janda is more common in sprinters- men than in sprinters- women, but here the results are not so clear....
Creation and verification of compensation program for ice hockey players Peewee HC Motor České Budějovice
ŽIVNŮSTKOVÁ, Vendula
The aim of this work is to investigate possible muscle imbalances in ice hockey players HC Motor České Budějovice - older school age category at the age of 12-13. Then, it was necessary to develop a compensation program and apply it to the players' training process for 3 months. After completion of the compensation program, it was important to perform final testing and then evaluate muscle status and the effectiveness of the compensation program. The theoretical part is focused on the study and analysis of available literature in the field of ice hockey. Furthermore, the creation of muscle imbalances and problematic parts in ice hockey players is added. In the results, the compensation program is evaluated and presented using tables and graphs. Entrance testing showed incidence muscular dysbalances in all researched body areas, but the most was back of the thigh muscles, where 90 % of the players had muscle shortening. The occurrence of shortening of the straight head of the quadriceps femoris had all of player. The least incidence muscle dysbalance showed testing of trapezoid muscles (right side), 27 % of older school age category A abd 20 % in older school age category B.

The impact of tennis on the musculoskeletal system
Sitařová, Klára ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Name: The impact of tennis on the musculoskeletal system Context: Due to the characteristics of tennis as a unilateral loading of the musculoskeletal system, it is likely that numerous muscle imbalances appear. Aim: The aim of my bachelor thesis was to determine the impact of tennis on the musculoskeletal system. Due to the characteristics and style of tennis and therefore the unilateral loading of the locomotive apparatus my thesis was primarily based on muscular dysbalance which I detected by the TMG measuring device. Methods of the research: This bachelor thesis was implemented as a qualitative research in the form of six case studies. The tensiomyograf TMG 100 was used to diagnose muscle imbalance in the selected muscle groups. Results: In five participants out of the total of six there was a shortening of the muscle biceps brachii on the dominant side and a slackening of the muscle biceps brachii on the contralateral side. Moreover in five of the six participants there was a slackening found in the muscle deltoideus anterior and in all six of the participants there was a slackening found in the muscle deltoideus posterior on the dominant side, and in five out of six participants there was a shortening detected in the muscle deltoideus anterior on the contralateral side, and in all the six...
Use of prevention exercises in basketball
Kejha, Pavel ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Velenský, Michael (referee)
Title: Application of compensation exercises in basketball Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to verify the effectiveness of the compensation practise on selected muscle group and selected basketball players. Methods: In order to obtain the results the functional tests of the spine and testing of shortened muscle groups Janda (2004) were used, which were applied to a selected group of seven basketball player from two different teams. Measured values of shortened muscle groups - initial measurements (pretest) were compared with the results of the measured muscle groups (posttest) after less than three months of compensation program. Based on the results of the entrance test were designed tray compensatory exercises that players should adhere to within the specified regularity. Results: We found out that after almost three months of compensation program the state of shortened and weakened muscle groups has improved significantly. All the results are recorded in the form of tables and graphs. Keywords: Compensation exercises, basketball, muscle imbalance
