Buckling Length of Steel Columns in Frame Structures Stressed by Fire
Červenka, Roman
Fire resistance is crucial for load-bearing structures. However, current rules in structural Eurocodes may not cover all fire design situations. In EN 1993-1-2, fire design rules exist only for braced steel frames, treating each floor as a separate fire section. Unbraced frames lack specific fire design rules and use regular temperature design buckling lengths. This article presents an analysis of the behaviour of columns in braced and unbraced frames and compares it with the procedures of some other authors.
Analysis of structure using stages calculation
Čejková, Eva ; Nevařil, Aleš (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the roof structure, its static assessment and analysis phases of construction. It is a roofing tennis hall parabolic trusses, which are formed from steel. In the hall there are three tennis courts and space for an auditorium for spectators. The entire structure and calculations are processed in a static software RFEM by the Dlubal. Only the load cases are calculated manually.
Sports hall
Štelc, Martin ; Straka, Bohumil (referee) ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design expertise and supporting structures the single-roof sports hall for locality Brno. The ground plan dimensions are 42 x 72 m and ground clearance of about eight meters. Two variants are processed and selected variant is elaborated in detail. The sports hall is designed for most sports played indoors. In a static calculation are designed and assessed the main load-bearing elements such as truss glued laminated timber, wooden purlins, columns, girts and bracing. The work includes drawings.
The Roofing of the Sport Hall
Müller, Radek ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
In my project I dealt with a proposal pool roof in the town of Brno. As the main construction material was used glued laminated wood. For affiliate structure was used steel and solid wood. Construction has a span of approximately 40 meters, length 60 meters and a height about 11.5 meters. For a given type of structure and for aesthetic and ergonomic reasons, decided to design a curved beam of glued laminated timber supported by a pillar of glued laminated timber. End of the cantilever beam is supported by a steel column.
Monolithic multi-storey concrete frame structure
Luža, Radim ; Kraut, Jan (referee) ; Šulák, Pavel (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is a static solution of selected load-bearing structures of a polyfunctional building. The structures are designed according with ČSN EN 1992-1-1: Design of concrete structures - Part 1-1: General rules and rules for building construction
Exhibition Gallery
Železná, Radka ; Buchta, Stanislav (referee) ; Bajer, Miroslav (advisor)
This master´s thesis is deal with desing of steel structure of exhibition gallery. According to the task have been design of new structures in accordance with applicable standards. The desing of building came frome several studies.
Kidsgarden
Hanšpach, Vít ; Blažková, Vendula (referee) ; Daněk, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the design and documentation for new construction nursery Schools and the associated layout object. Proposal of appropriate structural system with regard to static and thermal technical part . Kindergarten is designed as an object used for the education of preschool children 4 to 6 years . Kindergarten 4 classes with a total capacity of 72 children. The building has two floors which looks like a cross, without a basement. The main entrance to the building is located on the south side of the building . The main living rooms are situated to the southeast to the southwest. The structural system is build of limestone, concrete partially formed column , base and die . The ceiling structure consists of filigree plates and in the middle of reinforced concrete . Roofing of the building is designed as a flat membrane roof.
Multipurpose facility Olomouc
Ocelík, Tomáš ; Klvaňa, Jiří (referee) ; Eliáš, Luboš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on designing a new multipurpose building with parts used for apartments, administration offices and a bar. The land, which the building is situated on, is located in the city of Olomouc. The structure consist of five above-ground floors and one underground floor, where a garage is designed. The vertical supporting construction are made of reinforced cast-in-place concrete columns, the horizontal of reinforced concrete cast-in-place boards, other vertical walls are made of sand-lime and aerated concrete blocks. The roof is warm flat.
Roof Structure of Bus Station
Roušar, Martin ; Šmak,, Milan (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The scope of the thesis is to design a roof substructure bus station in the area of Vysoké Mýto. The structure is designed of steel S355. This is the platform on the roof of two islands. The thesis has been processed by solving two variants, each variant were considered the main structural elements and then comparison was made between the two variants. Of these, one variant was selected for further processing. The first variant has a plan shape of a triangle with maximum dimensions of 58.00 m x 26,75 m. The main load-bearing structure consists of steel columns and girders of rolled sections, or HEB of castellated beams. The girders is the roof structure from rolled I profiles. Covering the roof is designed from the glass with supporting substructure of aluminum profiles. Rigidity is ensured in two ways braces of steel bars. The second option (which was selected for further processing) is L - shaped ground plan with maximum dimensions of 55,25 m x 33.40 m. The main supporting structure is made of rolled steel frames, HEB profiles and rods of steel bars. Supporting roof structure is designed of steel rolled I profiles. Roofing is again solved using the glass structure of aluminum profiles. Rigidity is ensured in two ways braces of steel bars.
Bus station roofing
Buchníčková, Klára ; Pešek, Ondřej (referee) ; Balázs, Ivan (advisor)
This Bachelor Thesis deals with the design and assessment of the steel structure of the bus station roofing. The span of the structure in the transverse direction is 35 m, the length is 40 m. The maximum height of the roof is 16,8 m. The structure consists of trusses in the shape of a wave supported by solid columns. The distance between the main frames is 5 m. Due to the asymmetrical shape of the truss, the columns of the main frames have different heights - 14 m and 5 m. The construction is designed for the Brno area.
