The thesis deals about usage standard of CSN EN ISO 14001:2005 and it implementation to the company. In the theoretical part is analyzed process of the implementation and behaviour standard CSN EN ISO 14001:2005 in the building company XYZ. The attention is mainly drawn to benefits and costs connected with the implementation. Reccomendations for system functioning EMS are presented as a conclusion.

Thesis deals with the reporting of sustainability development and its mode of administration of regular reports. The first section contains information ofsustainability development and a summary of the approach of the UN and the EU to sustainability development, which influenced business attitudes to the disclosure of periodic results using standardized reporting of sustainability. The second part analysis the situation of companies in the administration report brewing on sustainability and social responsibility. The aim is to develop recommendations for the creation of reports on sustainable development and social responsibility on the basis of previous analyzes and evaluation of their development.

Nowadays there is an increasing pressure on manufacturing companies to reduce their impact on the environment. This thesis seeks to address two approaches to reducing the environmental impact - legislative and voluntary. The theoretical part defines the procedure for environmental risk assessment under applicable law and the implementation of cleaner production in the company. The practical part describes the evaluation of risks arising in all production areas of the company and implementing the cleaner production program in the selected department. The introduction of cleaner production is economically evaluated by the simple return on investment method.

Optimalizace výrobního procesu se zaměřením na využívání vody ve společnosti P-D Refractories CZ, a.s.

Diplomová práce se zabývá optimalizací ve výrobním procesu se zaměřením na využívání vody ve společnosti P-D Refractories CZ a.s. Velké Opatovice. V úvodu popisuje obecně problematiku životního prostředí a vliv průmyslu na životní prostředí, nakládání s vodou a legislativu, která je s tímto problémem spojená. Je zde popsáno něco z udržitelné spotřeby a výroby, jejich nástrojů, které pomáhají společnostem fungovat tak, aby co nejméně zatěžovaly životní prostředí. Vybraným nástrojem pro tuto práci je čistší produkce. Práce také představuje firmu P-D Refractories CZ a.s., ve které je tato problematika řešena. Praktická část obsahuje návrh nového způsobu chlazení lisu a výpočty ekologické a finanční úspory vody, které dokládají, že toto řešení je pro danou společnost i ekonomicky přínosné. V závěru jsou zmíněna ekologická pozitiva navrženého řešení.

Preventing negative impacts on the environment is better than fixing it afterwards. From this argument the field of cleaner production has developed, which is the continuous application of an integral strategy to processes, products and services to increase the overall efficiency and reduce the risks to humans and the environment. For production processes cleaner production defines more efficient use of raw materials and energy, elimination of toxic, hazardous materials and preventing waste and emissions at source. For products (goods and services) cleaner production strategy focuses on reducing their environmental impact, and across their entire lifecycle, from development to their use. This strategy was firstly implemented in the United States, in the 3M company from Minnesota and after obtaining positive results, it spread all over the Word, in Europe though, pioneers were the Swedes. Many international organizations have created programs for the promotion and development of cleaner production in as many countries as possible, mostly through the National Center for CP, which were established in the early nineties by UNIDO and UNEP.
