Preferential voting: The analysis of elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic between 1996-2013

The work analyses the changes of preferential voting in elections to the chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic between 1996 - 2013. The theoretical framework is based on existing debate on intraparty dimension of electoral systems. The analytic part focuses on the elements of the preferential system of voting, which are not reflected in standard typologies, such as the sizes of lists of candidates, the maximal amount of preferential votes and the legal threshold.
Comparative analysis of hung parliament: case of Great Britain and Australia after the 2010 elections

This bachelor thesis is focused on issue of hung parliament (no single-party majority) which has arisen contemporaneously in Great Britain and in Australia after elections in 2010. In the theoretical part of this thesis the party systems of examined countries is presented, as well as the definition of what happens when hung parliament sets in. According to two case studies of the 2010 elections in Great Britain and Australia the question of the cause of hung parliament is answered.
