Validiation of walking tests in patients with coxarthrosis

Práce posuzuje možnosti využití chůzových testů u pacientů s koxartrózou. Na skupině třiceti pacientů se třetím stupněm koxartrózy kyčelního kloubu bylo provedeno měření pěti různých testů: dotazník Harris Hip Score, Timed Up And Go Test (TUG), Ten Meter Walk Test - desetimetrový test chůze (10MWT), Two Minute Walk Test - dvouminutový test chůze (2MWT) a Six Minute Walk Test - šestiminutový test chůze (6MWT). Následně byly porovnány výsledky jednotlivých testů a zjištěny jejich specifické výpovědní vlastnosti. Cílem studie bylo zjistit jejich vzájemné souvislosti, limity v použití, případně navrhnout jejich úpravu a doporučit cílové skupiny pacientů pro jednotlivé druhy testů. Během měření a při zpracování studie byly zjištěny statisticky významné skutečnosti, pomocí kterých by bylo možné zpřesnit hodnocení kvality terapie a zvýšit efektivitu vyšetřování pacientů s koxartrózou. Byla prokázána shodná výpovědní hodnota testu 2MWT ve srovnání s delšími testy (6MWT) a také výhody provedení testu TUG, jako zdroje doplňujících informací k vyšetření pomocí dotazníku Harris a běžných chůzových testů.

Quantitative walk tests in children- Research

There is a constant increase of use of the walk tests in children population as part of objective testing. There is absence of complex summary of reference values for healthy children therefore we are not able to test our pediatric patients as fast, easy and objective as we would like to. Due to this fact we decided to create a summary of final results of three chosen walk tests. We have been dealing only with walk tests focused on quantitative aspect of walking in healthy children. We have chosen a walk test focusing on endurance (Six-Minute Walk Test), skilfulness (Timed Up and Go Test) and velocity of walk (10 Meter Walk Test). Methods: We were looking for studies containing only physiology values of healthy children in medical databases such as PubMed, EBSCOhost, UKAZ.cuni.cz, Web of Science and the Google Scholar database. Only studies containing full text and meeting our criteria were chosen. Outcome of this work is a complex summary of all available values of three walk tests, their general description and comparison of all found studies focused on this topic. We made comparison of several chosen parameters (number of tested children, their age, gender, methodology of testing, results and their details). The evaluation of gait and balance tests in patients after vestibular schwannoma surgery

The thesis deals with the evaluation of gait and balance tests in patients after vestibular schwannoma surgery. The experimental part focuses on the evaluation of dynamics of walking tests during hospitalization of patients diagnosed with vestibular schwannoma. The aim of the experimental part is also to analyze statistically significant correlations between measurable parameters of vestibulo-ocular reflex and walking tests and to evaluate the correlation between the subjective scale of fall fear and the objective assessment of walking and dynamic postural stability. A total of 28 patients aged 33 to 68 (14 men and 14 women) were incuded in the research with diagnosed vestibular schwannoma. Measurements were performed three times in patients (before surgery, after surgery and before the end of hospitalization). After the surgery, in addition to standard rehabilitation, training with visual biofeedback was included using the interactive Homebalance system. Gait and balance assessments were performed throug the tests Timed Up and Go, Four Step Square Test and Functional Gait Assessment.
