Variable-sweep wing
Janiš, Martin ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Dubnický, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis summarizes the variable-sweep wing technology used in supersonic military aircraft from the second half of the 20th century. Aircraft with this technology are universally used today. The thesis contains a list of all active aircraft. Furthermore, the~effects of the variable wing sweep technology on the aircraft in terms of its flight characteristics, structural loads and maintenance requirements are described. The output of~the thesis is an analysis of a specific design solution on a selected type of aircraft and a general discussion of wingbox force loading. From these structural loads, the aerodynamic balancing problem is further addressed. The thesis concludes with a technical evaluation of the technology from the obtained findings. Its pros and cons are highlighted, from which the thesis explains a decline in use of the technology, while proving the opposite in its still possible use today.
Reconstruction of middle part of the fuselage Z 143 aircraft using semi- monocoque frame
Zamazal, Jakub ; Mališ, Michal (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
The thesis is focused on reconstruction of middle part of fuselage Z 143 aircraft from truss frame to semi-monocoque frame. In the thesis there is a conceptual design of semi-monocoque middle part of fuselage. The spars of centre wing section are strength controlled. In thesis there is weight analysis according to use the semi-monocoque middle part of fuselage. In second half of the thesis there is a study of retractable landing gear. The thesis shows weight savings according to use a semi-monocoque frame. The thesis also shows that semi-monocoque frame allows other option to upgrade Z 143 aircraft. This thesis can serve as a feasibility study of the reconstruction of the middle part of the fuselage Z 143 aircraft.
