The population of the city Liberec and its structures based on the List of subordinates according to the faith (1651) Abstract The main aim of my study was to analyze in detail the population of the town Liberec according to the List of subordinates according to the faith from 1651. I have described the family and household typology, including heads of households, as well as demographic indicators and catholic religion of inhabitants. Next, I was also dealing with the issue of servants and house lodgers and their inclusion in the family structure. To analyze the population of the city of Liberec in 1651, I used common statistical and demographic procedures. By analyzing and comparing the inhabitants of Liberec with other towns and villages, the town of Liberec in 1651 was found to be different. The city of Liberec was different from other cities and villages in almost all the examined factors. The exception is the typology of families, which retain its typical form throughout Western Europe. Keywords: the family and household typology, servants, house lodgers, catholic religion

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to translate a German non-fiction text into Czech and to provide it with a professional commentary. The translated text consists of the first two sub-chapters of the historic introduction to the publication "Orthodoxie und Katholizismus in Jugoslawien 1945-1991: ein serbisch-kroatischer Vergleich". The first part of the commentary includes a translation analysis of the original text according to Christiane Nord which means an analysis of intratextual and extratextual factors. Based on the analysis the translation method is deduced. In the next chapter, different kinds of translation problems are presented along with their solutions. The commentary is concluded by a typology of translation shifts.
