Case Study of physioterapy treatment of a patient after hemoragic stroke with left hemiparesis

Title: Case study of physioterapy treatment of a patient after hemoragic stroke with left hemiparesis. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to obtain academic findings about stroke concerning anatomy, pathology, therapetuic approaches and methods which can be utilised in cases of stroke. The specific part focuses on the therapeutic care of a patient after hemorragic stroke which was taken during a month practice at Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky, Medditera s.r.o. Summary: The theory of the thesis discusses anatomy and pathology of human brain in terms of strokes. There is a brief mention of ischemic strokes and a detailed elaboration on hemorraghic strokes. Furthemore, the same part of the thesis epitomizes the risk factors and diagnosis of strokes. There is also a detailed treatise on the physioterapeutic care of stroke. The practice of the thesis introduces a case study of physioterapy treatment of a patient after hemoragic stroke with left hemiparesis. Title of bachelor's thesis: Case of physiotherapy care for patient diagnosed with hemoragic stroke Objectives: The aim is to emphasize the issues about stroke and subsequent treatment. Thesis emphasizesusing physiotherapy and physioterapeutic methods as an important part of treatment of pacients after stroke. A special part includes a detailed casuistry of patient after hemoragic stroke. Methods: The thesis is divided into the general part and the special part. The general part describes the classification, diagnostic methods and risc factors of stroke. The theory focuses on chosen consequences of stroke as a poststroke depression syndrome, a neglect syndrome, hemiplegic shoulder pain and a Thalamic syndrome and it also describes special physiotherapeutic methods, which are used in the cure of pacients after stroke. The special part of thesis introduces the physiotherapeutic care of pacient after hemoragic stroke with left hemiparesis. It is formed by the casuistry, which includes the list of therapies. The casuistry was created during a month bachelor praxis at the Rehabilitation clinic in Vršovická zdravotní a.s. Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after hemorhgic stroke with right hemiparesis. Objectives: The goal of the thesis was to obtain theoretical information and background on stroke, suicide and therapeutic approaches and methods which can be applied in cases of stroke The specific part aims on the therapeutic care of a patient after suicide attempt followed by ischemic stroke, with whom I worked during one month practise in the Military University Hospital in Prague. Summary: In the theoretical part of my thesis I described anatomy, circulatory system and pathology of human brain, the characteristics of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke, the epidemiology, clinical manifastation and ways to diagnose and classify them. The principal part focused on therapy after the stroke and physiotherapist's point of view on stroke in general. The theoretical part is concluded by a chapter on suicide. The practical part introduces a case study of the physiotherapy treatment of a patient after suicide attempt followed by ischemic stroke.
