Potential replacement of blast furnace slag in mixed Portland cements
Hlavinková, Eva ; Gazdič,, Dominik (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis deals with the possibilities of substitution of blast furnace slag in production of blended portland cements. Attention is focused on secondary raw materials, especially fine fractions from production of crushed aggregates, whereas their impact on the properties of final blended binder is assessed.
Properties of Zeolites and Their Use in Building Binders
Rousková, Jana ; Sedlmajer, Martin (referee) ; Rovnaníková, Pavla (advisor)
Zeolites, such as natural or synthetic aluminosilicates, have a wide range of applications. Their application in the construction industry tends to use zeolites as impurity type II. However, it has to prove their reactivity and affect the content of calcium hydroxide in the concrete. The aim is to determine the effect of zeolite as a partial replacement of cement in different concentrations on the mechanical properties of fine-grained concrete and consumption of calcium hydroxide.
Monitoring the Development of AFt Phases in Mixed Portland Cement with FBC Ash
Martykán, Jiří ; Jiroušková, Kateřina (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on evaluation of the possibilities of using FBC ash for production of blended cement and monitoring the hydration process, specially creation of the AFt phases.
Mixing cement for special purposes
Hrdina, Matěj ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
Thesis deals with the technology of production of portland cement its raw material composition, mineralogical composition, theory of clinker minerals during firing and possible mixing with other materials suitable character. It provides an overview of specialty cements. It was prepare a proposal cement mixtures normatively called "Masonry cement." Cement was examined on required properties depending on the amount and the type of chemical additives.
Verification of the possibilities of using mixed cements CEM II and CEM III for concrete roads and bridges
Kepák, Ondřej ; Slánsky,, Bohuslav (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
Bachelor thesis focuses on verifying the possibilities of using blended cements CEM II and CEM III for concrete roads and bridges. The objective of the thesis was to verify the possibilities of the safe use of these cements. In the theoretical part, an overview of the types of cement produced in the Czech Republic is developed, including their characteristics and the state of use of blended cements in the world. In the experimental part are then presented the properties of the concrete produced from selected blended cements and compared with the reference cement without the addition of secondary raw materials.

Influence of grinding technology on the properties of blended cements with pozzolanic components.
Dočkal, Jakub ; Smetanová,, Lenka (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to summarize and assess the possibility of using recycled glass in the manufacture of blended portland cements. Work was focused on examining the possibilities to improve pozzolanic properties of recycled glass with new milling processes. The formation of agglomerates material during the course of grinding and their subsequent effect on the hydration process of binders has been also examining. Part of the thesis was also focused on grindability of materials and determination of using separate or inters grinding.
Possibilities of using recycled glass for the preparation of blended cements
Dobrovolný, Petr ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
This work focuses on the possibility of using recycled glass in the manufacture of blended portland cements. It examines the possibilities to improve pozzolanic properties of recycled glass with new milling processes, the formation of agglomerates material during the course of grinding and their subsequent effect on the hydration process of binders. It is also the optimization of the grinding process with respect to the wear of grinding bodies, grinding energy consumption and maximize the performance of the mill.
