Web Application for Editing and Biometric Signing of Documents

The bachelor thesis deals with the design and development of a web application for editing and biometric signing of PDF documents using a signature tablet. The thesis focuses on the study of the principles of web application development which includes a comparison of JavaScript frameworks, it also studies manipulation with PDF documents and the issues surrounding biometric signatures. Existing solutions for biometric signing of documents are analyzed. Based on this analysis, the requirements for a new web application are determined and its design is carried out. This is followed by a description of the actual implementation, which is mainly done in JavaScript using the framework React. After implementation, the application is tested and the results are evaluated.

This bachelor thesis deals with human rights and biometrical technologies. It treats increasing use of biometrical technologies which influence more and more often the lives of considerable number of people and it points out the advantages and disadvantages of this method. Biometrical technologies are here regarded from the human rights standards' point of view. It shows the attitude and limits of human rights concerning these issues. It deals with individual biometrical technologies including particular way of their utilization. It points out misuse of biometrical technologies in the past by means of numerous examples and uses them to outline future usage of these technologies.

In today's world biometrics are not only applied in the commercial sphere, but their technological advantages and opportunities permeate also into forensic practice. Some of them are even at such a high technological level, which can be used as the court evidence. The contribution of this work is in providing information and evaluation procedure for the extraction, identification or reliability of the tracks for forensic application. This work responds to the question of how to proceed in processing tracks and what can be read from it. After an introduction dealing with identity in general, the work follows in second part with two selected biometrics, which are analyze and evaluate from technological and forensic aspects.

Práce sleduje a hodnotí různé metody autentizace. V práci je většina biometrických technologií uplatňovaných v současnosti. Sleduje biometrické technologie od svého počátku až po výhled do budoucnosti. Dále práce zahrnuje testování biometrických technologií podle vlastností jimiž disponují. V rámci testování biometrických technologií se objevuje multifaktorová analýza, která napomáhá určit podle přiřazených vah preferované biometrické technologie.
