Kocík, Martin ; Kokštejn, Jakub (advisor) ; Musálek, Martin (referee)
Title: Evaluation of the relationship between general motor coordination and game performance of football players due to different biological age. Objectives: Finding the relationship between the level of the level of motor coordination and the subjective assessment of game performance of football players by the coach due to biological age and the different pace of biological maturation of football players in pupils categories (U12-U14). Methods: The research group consisted of 43 players (average age 12.8±1.0 years) from pupils categories (U12-U14) from the professional club in the Czech republic. The method of dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) was used to determine biological age. The Körperkoordinationtest für Kinder (KTK) was used to assess the level of motor coordination. Game performance was evaluated using a questionnaire filled out by the coaches of the individual categories. Results: Of the entire research population, 65,12 % of players achieved verbal ratings of "excellent", 32,55 % "above average" and 2,33 % "average". The most correlated variable with the performance evaluation was the subtest from the KTK "jumps on one leg", which had a correlation of 0,43. The game performance questionnaire correlated only 0,13 with the motor quotient from the KTK test. Playes with the best...
The Creation and the Verification of a Training Program to Develop Jump in a Adolescents Volleyball Team VK Jihostroj České Budějovice
VÍTŮ, Sabina
The thesis aimed to the creation and verification of a training program of improvement vertical jump volleyball team VK Jihostroj České Budějovice. It was a kvaziexperiment. It involved ten volleyball players from a youth category and two volleyball players from a men category. Initial testing was performed before a three-month training intervention and then final testing followed. The testing combined two tests made on a reaction platform LEM 10 with ProJump, which is located in the laboratory of stress diagnostics at KTVS in České Budějovice. The first test was the maximizing vertical jump height and the second test was the endurance test, which consisted of three jumps. Another observed aspect is a biological one. The training intervention was incorporated into the normal training plan and took place every Monday and Wednesday. The research has proved that volleyball players had higher measured values of output vertical jump comparing with input values from the entry test because of the training program. The prediction that probands would have average or better results of an output endurance test than the entry test due to the training program was not confirmed. Furthermore, the assumption that probands will achieve average or better results in maximum vertical jump than the given average by LEM 10 with ProJump manual has not been confirmed as well. The correlation between the biological age and the maximum jump, which is evaluated by the correlation coefficient and is greater than |0,4| was confirmed.

Biological age prediction using DNA analysis
Stokičová, Linda ; Vaněk, Daniel (advisor) ; Tomášek, Petr (referee)
Eye colour, hair colour and biogeographical origin can be predicted based on DNA analysis. This is used in forensic genetics when an unknown perpetrator leaves a biological material on a crime scene. Prediction of biological age is the subject of further research. Nowadays, there is no standardised model, which can be used for accurate prediction. The best option for biological age prediction is DNA methylation - stable epigenetic modification. Many markers have been evaluated. Methylation of these markers correlates with biological age positively or negatively. Methylation has tissue specificity, so one model cannot be applied on all types of tissues. Model for biological age prediction can be applied during investiganting of a criminal activity, when the identity of a person commiting a crime is unknown. Key words: methylation, chronological age, biological age, DNA analysis, forensic genetics
Growth and Proportional Changes in Chidren at Grammar Schools
Zeťková, Marie ; Vančata, Václav (advisor) ; Ehler, Edvard (referee)
This diploma thesis describes an anthropological survey of pupils in the 8th and 9th grades of certain primary schools in the Zlin Region (Czech Republic), pertaining to which the data thus obtained were subsequently processed and evaluated. The aim of the work was to analyse proportional changes and the biological maturity exhibited by the members of the probands through KEI, based on empirical data, in addition to determining the given somatotype according to the method of Heath & Carter (1967). ANTROPO 2000.2 software was utilized for processing the data. The findings of said research are compared with the data reported by the National Anthropological Survey (Czech Republic, 2001).
Relationship of biological age of children and their success in karate
Peřinka, Filip ; Honsová, Šárka (advisor) ; Chytráčková, Jitka (referee)
and key words The definition of problematicity: According to the date of birth, the whole population expresses their age numerically, sometimes known as the calendar or chronological year. Nevertheless, from the biological point of view, this statement can be misrepresented in the meaning. The real and precise age, here we mean the biological age, can be different. The Aim: The aim of my batchelor thesis is to consider and evaluate the populational biological age of children doing karate, ranging from 10-15 years. We want to find out whether the biological age has any impact on karate competitions' results. The methods: There is a group of individuals, including boys and girls, who accomplish the criteria for the evaluation. One of them is the approximate achievement of the same technical level of the karateist and the minimal two years competition's attendance. According to Brauer, the biological determination of the year will not only be carried out by the proportional method (in Riegerová, Přidalová, Ulbrichová, 2006; Riegerová, Sedlak, 1996; Riegerová, 1984) but also by the help of orientational growing age of children. Next, we compare the calendar and biological age and evaluate them. All results gained from the survey, will be compared with the anthropological research of Czech population,...

Jiskra, Jan ; Kokštejn, Jakub (advisor) ; Malý, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Influence of small side games and runs on sprint performance and agility in football players. Purpose: The aim of the thesis is to find out the influence of selected movement interventions (small side games versus runs) on sprint performance and agility in elite football players in U14 category during the preseason period. Methods: The 30-meter Sprint was used to rate speed-strength performance. Players have executed 2 sprints at 30m. Sprint time was measured at 5, 10 and 30m. Agility tests included: test 505 and three-step test. Players also have executed 2 tries (one of each leg). A set of photocells (Alge Timing GmbH, Lustenau, Austria) was used to measure the time of all tests. Results: Both groups significantly improved in the three-step test (p <0.05; r> 0.5). The SSG group, after a two-month intervention, significantly deteriorated in the sprint to 5, 10 and 30m (r = 0.38 - 0.69). The race group did not significantly improve in sprints at 5, 10 and 30m. In the agility test, we saw a significant improvement only in the Run groups and only on the left leg (r = 0.42). Based on the findings, we believe that the training units of the linear speed and speed with the change of direction maintain the level of player's speed during the season. Therefore, I recommend that they should appear in...

Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of biophysics and physical chemistry Candidate: Zuzana Pokorná Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Petr Klemera, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Resveratrol - effect on the biological age Objective: Resveratrol is a natural polyphenol contained in number of plants. It is a potent antioxidant, which is known to have a number of beneficial health effects and be part of many biological processes. The compound is produced by plants to increase their survival and resistance to disease. We found the effect of Resveratrol on parameters of biological age-on the threshold of perception of the intensity of the volume (hearing) and reaction rate. Methods : A group of people used the resveratrol in a dose of 170 mg per day for 40 days. We measured by the PC program the selected parameter of hearing and reaction rate. Results : It has been shown that statistically significant improvement of hearing has occurred. The exact mechanism of the effect is not known. Probably operates through a group of enzymes, sirtuins. Reaction rate was not affected by substance. Conclusions : We have reviewed the potential effect of Resveratrol on human biological age. The improvement of hearing has been shown at the 0,01 significance level. The biggest improvement was...
