Kubiš, Zdeněk ; Ondřej, Štěpánek (referee) ; Štěpánek, Ondřej (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The theme of the master’s thesis is to design a 60 MW single-casing steam turbine for the two-stage district water heating. The turbine is designed for cogeneration cycle, has four uncontrolled extractions and the outlet down to the heater. First, there is the thermodynamic calculation of the turbine operation with 100 % steam mass flow. Further, the detailed design of flow part with the strength calculation of blades and diaphragms is drawn. By the end of the thesis, the required operations are compared and corresponding heat balancing diagrams are listed. The thesis also includes a turbine longitudinal section.

The aim of this Diploma thesis is calculating the parameters of the heat balance diagram as well as creating balance sheet for winter and summer operation. In one of the first parts, the reader is acquainted with two P&I diagrams containing main accessories, which are also used in the heat scheme, KKS marking system is used to name the acces-sories. The main part of the thesis consists of a detailed calculation of the heat transfer surface of the condenser with design of the tube bundle including the main dimensions of the condenser. Last but not least, the calculations of the hydraulic losses of condenser are included in the thesis.
Steam turbine - condensation formation and discharge
Zouhar, Adam ; Filip, Patrik (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
Master thesis is dealing with the issue of condensate creation and removal from the Nesher Ramle steam turbine during start-up and steady state. At the beginning a preliminary calculation of heat balance and the turbine itself is done. It is followed by description and design of drainage system supplemented by calculation of the steam flow through the orifices. Steam flow calculation was done via S. D. Morris, Pavelek with Kalčík and Ambrož, all three methods were compared. The main goal is the theoretical calculation of the amount of condensate created during start-up which is influenced by its initial state from which it is started. Three default states are considered, cold, warm and hot. In the last chapter the comparison of theoretical calculation with the measured data on real turbine is done and it is supported by the evaluation of the data from the measurement of the steam turbine at steady state on maximum power and half power. From the steady state analysis, percentage of water flow to expander from the total amount of condensate formed in the turbine were obtained.
Condensing steam turbine
Martynek, Filip ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
Content of this thesis is design of one-housing condensing steam turbine with two uncontrolled extractions. First part is describing design of balance scheme. Including cycle joints calculation, design of equipment for whole steam and condense cycle. Thesis continues with preliminary and detail design of regulativ stage. Main goal of this part is thermodynamic calculation of flow channel. Second part is describing lubricating oil and cooling system. Contains process description of lubricating oil scheme including calculation, specification of components and pipe branches design. Diploma thesis is finished with detail lubricating oil scheme.
Turbine efficiency as a function of speed
Woffová, Helena ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is condensing steam turbine with the required power of 50MWe and set input and output parameters. The turbine is designed as a two-body turbine. There is also designed balance scheme with reheating, regeneration and air condenser. Subsequently, the thermodynamic calculation for three variations of high pressure part with different speeds is demonstrated. The result is evaluated in terms of calculated efficiency and also in an economic point of view. The output is a selection of the variation with the best parameters. Then the basic dimensioning calculations, the design of the leveling piston and the sealing system follows for this variation. A simplified section of this part is drawn. Finally, the balance scheme is adjusted based on the data and calculated for limited performance as well.
Reconstruction of the turbogenerator TG 5 in Opatovice Power Plant
Rak, Vítek ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis discusses the reconstruction of the turbogenerator TG5 of the Elektrárny Opatovice and introduces options of technical solutions for power central of combined heat and electricity production. First section describes the differences between back-pressure and condensing turbines. Next section briefly introduces the company Elektrárny Opatovice a.s. with the description of the current back-pressure turbine TG5, which is near end of it life cycle and is to be reconstructed in following years. Based on the technical-economic analysis of the operation of the current TG5, possible benefits of new technical solutions are proposed.
Biomass Retrofit 250 MW Steam Turbine
Novák, Martin ; Josef, Švagr (referee) ; Josef, Švagr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
There is a description of modernisation steam condensing turbine in this Master´s thesis. Electric output is decreased from 250 MW to 160 MW. This thesis is divided into two parts, there is a calculation of heat balance in first part and a calculation of blading in second part. Detail drawing and heat balance are the most important results of this Master´s thesis.
Steam Turbine CHP
Zemánek, Josef ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis concentrates on a project of backpreassure steam turbine. These topics are analyzed in more detail: design of balance schema, thermodynamic calculation, loss coefficient and its effect on the loss. Technical solutions are designed according to given details of a steam and chosen conditions of use.
Condensing Steam Turbine
Žáček, Ondřej ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the thesis „Condensing steam turbine“ is design of condensing steam turbine with uncontrolled extractions. The design is made according to assigned parameters. Balancing scheme of the turbine is defined at the beginning of the thesis. Then design of the regulation stage and reaction stages is accomplished. The calculation (thermodynamic and strength) is computed for mentioned two parts. For thermodynamic calculation is used ca/u method. In closing the design of the seal system is made.
Condensing Steam Turbine with superheating
Urbánek, Martin ; Weber, Norbert (referee) ; Weber, Norbert (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on designing of condensing steam turbine with reheating for combustion of biomass. The turbine is developed to be tandem compound-regenerative with five uncontrolled extraction points. Optimization of reheating pressure is made in the turbine's cycle. The turbine outlet is constructed to lead down to the water cooled condenser. Thesis includes the calculation of heat cycle with the draft of flow channel of high pressure and middle-low pressure turbine. Detailed calculation of middle-low pressure turbine, including stress-strength analysis, is performed. The thesis provides an evaluation of flow scheme of 100 % and 75 % of generator’s power output and the drawing of middle-low pressure turbine in longitudinal section.
