Enhance the Security of the Information System in the Municipal Administration

This bachelor’s thesis deals and analyzes the problems in the area of information system security. It proposes a possible solutions, its practical implementation, improve safety in the real environment of government, namely the municipal office. First part of this work analyzes the current situation, which describes the deficiencies in the given directions. Another part of this work speaks about theoretical background and in the end are explained my practical advices for improving of the security system.
Implementation of Selected Technology for Network Management

This thesis deals with proposal of implementation of chosen technology for computer network management within a particular company. The introductory part of this thesis focuses on a summary of theoretical background in the field. The next part of this thesis is focused on the analysis of the current state of network management in the company and the possibilities of a suitable network management solution. In the practical part, based on the application of theoretical knowledge, there is formulated a proposal for the implementation of the selected technology including technical, managerial and economic aspects that must be assessed during implementation.
German Security Policy From 1990 Until Now

This diploma thesis deals with German security and foreign policy in the period from its reunification in 1990 until now and focuses on deployment of German soldiers abroad. The aim of this thesis is to analyse eleven most important cases, in which Germany decided to support military missions abroad and to find out if in the decision making process were prevailing normatively guided factors corresponding with concepts of multilateralism, civilian power and antimilitarism or pragmatic guided factors regarding rather economical, geopolitical or other interests. The chosen cases are analysed using single-case studies and sorted into three subchapters following the terms of office of German chancellors. The results of these analyses are presented in the form of a table.

Inconsistencies in Norwegian foreign policy

Norwegian foreign policy can seem full of inconsistencies to an outside observer. In the field of integration and security policy, the country has been holding on to its own, unique way for a long time. It persistently refuses to enter the EU while at the same time seeking the closest possible relations with this institution. Also, In the field of security policy, a certain discord between traditional peacefulness and NATO membership can be felt. Closer analysis reveals, that the inconsistencies in Norway's relations with the EU are caused by the different stances of the political elites and the public towards the EU. At the same time, the seemingly contradictory aspects of the Norwegian security policy can be explained by a change of the traditional understanding of security into the so-called "comprehensive security" approach after the Cold War.
