Ecophysiology of peat bog ericoid subshrubs - freezing resistance and water relations
Daněk, Michal ; Sklenář, Petr (advisor) ; Hájek, Tomáš (referee)
The seasonal changes in freezing resistance and water relations in four dwarf shrub species of Ericaceae family: Vaccinium vitis-idaea, V. myrtillus, V. uliginosum and Oxycoccus palustris in two study areas differing in altitude were studied in this work. To establish the freezing resistance, the plants were sampled eight times, to determine parameters of the water relations, the plants were sampled six times during the growing season of 2009. For the freezing resistance examination, ice nucleation temperature (exotherm) and 50 per cent lethal temperature (LT50) were found. The water relations were described using the parameters derived from the pressure-volume curves: osmotic potential at full turgor, osmotic potential at zero turgor, cytoplasmic water fraction, relative water content at turgor loss and bulk modulus of elasticity. An important seasonal variability in the freezing resistance was found. The highest levels of the freezing resistance were reached in the spring and in the autumn, the lowest levels were found in the summer. There were also changes in the used mechanisms of the freezing resistance - for most of the year, the plants were tolerant, they showed the avoidance mechanism only in the summer. The seasonal changes in the water relation parameter were less unambiguous. The most of...
Attachment influence on consumer´s advertisement preference
MAŠEK, Štěpán
The bachelory thesis deals with the interconnection of the attachment theory and advertisement. The theoretical part of the work consists of the definition of basic theoretical grounds of attachment in childhood and adulthood, advertising and their subsequent description. The main objective of the empirical part was to determine the relation between attachment styles and consumer evaluations of ads. Another objective was to explore the possible relation between the dimensions of attachment theory (i.e. anxiety and avoidance) and evaluation of ads. For the empirical part it was chosen a quantitative research design. The research sample consisted of data from 91 respondents in the age range 19-26 years. There were used two questionnaires - RAAS (Revised Adult Attachment Scale) for detecting the attachment style of the individual and our own questionnaire for evaluation of ads. It was found that individuals with high anxiety are likely to evaluate (on the scales of liking, perceived attractiveness and purchase likelihood) more positively products in non-relational ads. Conversely, results show no significant differences in evaluation of ads by attachment styles. Research also showed that there is no significant relationship between avoidance and evaluation of the ads.
Attachment and internet addiction
Dolejšová, Aneta ; Vondráčková, Petra (advisor) ; Vacek, Jaroslav (referee)
My bachelor thesis is concerned with attachment and internet addiction. Therefore it attempts to establish correlation between these two terms through four research questions. These questions focus on presence of both the attachment types and scores for dimension of avoidance and anxiety in terms of extent gravity of internet addiction either by respondents at risk of potential addiction problems or by respondents already showing some symptoms of addiction. Theoretical part deals with definition of the internet addiction, its division, diagnose and prevalence in the Czech Republic. There is also described the attachment in general and consequently types of the attachment occurring during childhood and adulthood are mentioned as well. There are foreign researches in the last chapter of the theoretical part describing relations between the attachment and the internet addiction. You can find methodology description of the research in the research part and there are also the results of gained data. Data collection was provided by the questionnaires at forums of online games. Studied group consisted of 236 respondents (91,2% men, 8,8% women), all of them playing online games. Data processing was done with the program SPSS-statistic analysis through consequential tests: chi-squared distribution and...
online gambling and attachment
Kašíková, Petra ; Vondráčková, Petra (advisor) ; Vacek, Jaroslav (referee)
Background: This thesis deals with finding connection between addiction on online gambling and attachement. Research part was made thanks electronic questionnaire. To reach the biggest probability that the people who are continuously visiting sites oriented on online gambling will answer to this questionnaire, the questionnaire was placed on forums of sites which provides online gambling (for example online casinos, sport pages which allows you to bet. There were collected answers from 238 respondents (200 men and 38 women). Objectives: The aim of this work was to describe attachment styles, online gambling and attachment styles connection with online gambling. Another aim was to find occurrence of secure and insecure attachment styles and occurrence of score for dimension of avoidance and anxiety with respondents which are endangered by addiction on online gambling. In the end, there was found the most likely occurring types of attachment styles for this group of respondents. Methods: Data were collected by using questionnaire of addiction on the internet by Šmahela and Bilinka (2010) modificated on addiction on the online gambling and structured questionnaire ECR-RS Experience in Close Relationships (Fraley et al., 2011). Results: From the research is clear that the addiction or threat of...
