Impulse generator
Buš, Ondřej ; Drexler, Petr (referee) ; Kubásek, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the question of generating very short voltage impulses. At first it considers the most used behaviors of impulses and their mathematical description. Then it covers various principial circuit connections, which are used for generating short impulses. There is a scheme of controlled generator described in detail in this work, which is being used for exciting the forming circuit. Part of this work is also a description of program equipment, scheme of connection with designed desk of printed circuit. Description of construction of three shape circuits based on theoretical findings follows. Every solution is compared to each other upon time and frequency domain.
Pulse Generator for GPR
Martínek, Luděk ; Dušek, Martin (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the question of ground penetrating radar. At first it considers the electromagnetic field and its mathematical description. Then it covers measurement of electromagnetic pulses and their processing of sub-surface ground penetrating radar. . In this thesis is also described the involvement of pulse generator with several transistors operating in avalanche breakdown. Individual transistors are compared in time domain. The received waveform is then selected the best transistor for the final generator. Then is proposed solution for the final pulse generator and its implementation. For impulsive generator is also designed and constructed increasing the DC-DC voltage converter. Finally, it is necessary to measure the time behavior of the output pulse generator.
Broadband impulse signal generator
Kelbler, Petr ; Szabó, Zoltán (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with problem of generating very short voltage impulses. At the first, it considers the most common shapes of impulses, their parameters and relationship between time and frequency domain. Then it presents possible applications of such impulses. Following part of the thesis theoretically describes techniques for generating very short impulses and their typical conceptual schematic. The techniques for generating very short impulses are compared from different points of view and the most suitable technique is chosen for further realization. The theoretical parameters are checked by simulation. At the end of thesis, construction of designed generator is described, measured parameters are compared in time and frequency domain and the practical use of generator is characterized.
