Teacher's authority from secondary school students' point of view

The aim of the bachelor thesis "Teacher's Authority from Secondary School Students' Point of View" is to find out how secondary school pupils understand the authority of the teacher, what characteristics of the teacher, according to the pupils, strengthen the authority of the teacher and what weaken it. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The aim of the theoretical part is to summarize the existing knowledge about the authority of the teacher. The theoretical part is based on the study of scholarly literature. In the introduction, it discusses the definition of the concept and the typology of authority. It also contains the typology of the teacher in terms of his personality, deals with the educational and teaching styles of the teacher. The subject of the last chapter of the theoretical part is the relationship between teacher and student, preferential attitudes of teachers to students. The aim of the practical part is to find out, through a research investigation, secondary school students' point of view on the authority of teachers at secondary schools.
