Attendance analysis of football club FK Pelhřimov
Pavouková, Adéla ; Marešová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Brožová, Dagmar (referee)
In this work I investigated the influence of selected explanatory variables on attendance of the football club FK Pelhřimov during seasons 2001/02 -- 2010/11. Obtained data were subjected to econometric analysis and linear regression model revealed factors, which most influence the attendance. Key factors include regional rivalry, derby matches attract about 70 % more spectators. Other important factors include match day, ticket price and position in the competition. Positive relationship was found between attendance and ticket price. Influence of other variables (number of goals, number of wins, competition, opening match, temperature, rain and field) wasn't found important or the relationship was small.
rDeterminants of Sales and Attendance of Shopping Centre
Kadlec, Martin ; Bolcha, Peter (advisor) ; Koubek, Ivo (referee)
The thesis analyses determinants of shopping centre sales and its attendance demand; it is based on data of the specific shopping centre from the years 2007 -- 2011. Based on a five-year monthly time series, two sales models are created. One model tracks sales per customer, the other deals with the shopping centre sales which are compared with the sales index of retailers. On the other hand, a model of the shopping centre attendance demand uses figures of a five-year daily time series. Independent variables with significant effect on dependent variables are identified in the theoretical part. The models are estimated using the Ordinary Least Squares estimation. In all models, seasonal influences proved to be a significant determinant. In the sales models, hypotheses of the competition effect have been verified. Furthermore, in case of the attendance demand model, weather and marketing effects were estimated as important. Surprisingly, the economic variables proved themselves to be insignificant, which could be caused by the relatively short observation period. The limiting factor of all models is also the fact that the dataset consists of one shopping centre only. It prevents the author from conducting a comprehensive examination of other important determinants of shopping centre sales and attendance.

Nursing care of women after operative deliveries
KREJCAROVÁ, Jana
Nursing Care in Women after an Operative Delivery The bachelor thesis focuses on nursing care in women after an operative delivery terminating pregnancy. The theoretical part describes the individual surgical procedures (forceps delivery, vacuum extraction, cesarean section), nursing care and educational activity accompanying them. Further, it also includes a brief history of these methods. In the practical part, four basic goals and hypotheses were stated. The goal of the work was to identify differences in taking care of women after operative deliveries, to find out whether the care is conducted in the form of a nursing process, whether the care follows nursing and obstetrical standards in the selected delivery wards. With the view of these goals the following hypotheses were formulated: nursing care in women after operative deliveries differs in selected delivery wards and that midwives use a nursing process meeting the nursing and obstetrical standards in care of women. The research was conducted by a quantitative method. Data were collected through the use of anonymous questionnaires. These questionnaires were given to midwives in selected delivery wards (České Budějovice, Plzeň and Písek). The respondents were nurses working in delivery rooms, puerperium wards and gynecologic intensive care unit. The goals of the work were fulfilled. The hypothesis regarding the differences in care between individual delivery wards was confirmed. The second hypothesis that the care in women after operative deliveries is conducted in the form of a nursing process was proved in 72% cases. The third hypothesis confirms using of nursing standards in this care in 92% and the fourth hypothesis reveals that obstetrical standards are met in 75%. The results for the analyzed set of cases as a whole show certain definite tendencies, however the care differs among individual places and even among various wards within one institution. Therefore it would be useful to asses the organization of work, technical conditions and possible modifications that could improve the nursing care.
Specifics of Consumer Behavior on Cultural Heritage Market
Johnová, Radka ; Koudelka, Jan (advisor) ; Zamykalová, Miroslava (referee) ; Beck, Jiří (referee)
Doctoral thesis Specifics of Consumer Behavior on Cultural Heritage Market is a market research based analysis of visitors of museums and galleries. The main goal of the work is to describe and segment the audiences, find out stimuli influencing visitor behavior, visitor motivation and lifestyle in order to suggest new marketing strategies attracting either new visitors or to turn occasional visitors into clients. The first part uses the theoretical microeconomic approach for analyzing the demand for cultural heritage; the price policy and price strategies of museums and galleries, and results in socially justified price of merit goods. The second part compares the Czech "consumer" of cultural heritage with an average consumer behavior in the same markets within the European Union and the U.S.A. The main part of the thesis consists of the research project based on quantitative descriptive research among museum and gallery visitors. The sample size is 543 respondents. Respondents were interviewed from September 2008 to March 2009 (personal intercept interview) in 25 organizations (from large and important institutions to small and regional organizations). The research project uses the nonprobability (convenience) sample of those who came to a museum, gallery or exhibition. The thesis results in the recommendation of marketing strategies for museums and galleries.
Attendance of the Zoological Garden in Jihlava
Královská, Radka ; Hudík, Marek (advisor) ; Lahvička, Jiří (referee)
In this work I investigated the influence of selected factors on attendance of the Zoological Garden in Jihlava in the years 2001-2010. Each time series of monthly visitors were subjected to econometric analysis to determine the influence of explanatory variables on attendance. The work leads to the conclusion that attendance is significantly affected by air temperature, which was confirmed in all four models studied. Neither rainfall nor the price of admission didn't confirm the influence on the attendance of the Zoo, which may be due to low number of observations. The most significant impact on attendance had months of April and November, while other months were found to be very important in terms of attendance Zoo Jihlava.
