Kindergarten FUTURUM
Bretterová, Anna ; Klimecký, Martin (referee) ; Gerö, Jiří (advisor) ; Müller, Jan (advisor)
The content of the bachelor’s thesis is the design of a kindergarten in Brno, in the Masaryk’s district. The plot is a part of the school complex, where the Cyril and Methodius Church Elementary School and Cyril and Methodius High School already stand. The land here is sloping to the east. The design of the building with two above-ground and one underground floor corresponds to this. It is a new building of a preschool institution with two sections with capacity of 24 children per section without its own kitchen (food will be prepared in the kitchen for elementary school and high school and then transported to designed kindergarten). The building is situated in the eastern part of the plot and the western part is used as a garden for children. Barrier-free entrance to the building from Havlíčkova street is provided by a footbridge connected to the roof terrace at the level of the second floor. The building is bricked with Porotherm blocks. The construction of the ceilings is made of prestressed Spiroll hollow core slab. The roofs of the building are flat and partly walkable. Non-walkable parts of roofs are designed as green roofs. The facade of the building is horizontally divided into two parts. The lower part is lined with artificial stone and the upper part of the facade is made of white plaster. The windows in the children’s classrooms are round and different sizes. This element reflects children’s playfulness.
Artificial stone - methods of preparation and properties
Pluskalová, Barbora ; Bayer, Patrik (referee) ; Rovnaník, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the thesis „Artificial stone – Methods of preparation and it´s properties“ deals with the various methods and issues concerning the preparation of artificial stone. The thesis presents the summary of materials and various methods suitable for the preparation and points out mechanical properties, including durability of material, which serves as an alternative to natural stone. Further on, the thesis deals with the studies of binding systems based on geopolymers, which are used for the artificial stone preparation. This part of the thesis is associated with the experimental part, which is aimed at choosing the suitable mixing ratio of binder to aggregate in the artificial stone based on metakaolin geopolymer. According to the results of mechanical tests and aesthetic impression the author chose the best composition and then created a decorative element.
Návrh svietidla z umelého kameňa LG Hi-Macs
Harňáková, Barbora
In the process of creating a bachelor's thesis, a column lamp with possible variations was designed from LG Hi-Macs artificial stone. The work consists of two main parts, namely the theoretical and practical parts. In the first part, the material used, its development, technological processing and surface treatments are discussed today. It also includes the development of the design of lamps and light sources. The second part is already about the concrete, final design of the lamp, about the thought processes that gave rise to the ideal shape of the lamp. It lists all the necessary details related to the production of the final model as well as prototypes in which deficiencies were found.

Chemical and microstructural characterization of the artificial stone sample from the sandstone arcade at the Moravský Krumlov Castle
Frankeová, Dita ; Koudelková, Veronika ; Bauerová, Pavla ; Slížková, Zuzana
As part of the construction and technical survey, a microscopic analysis of samples of the artificial stone sample was performed using a scanning electron microscope and SEM ‐ EDS analysis. Characterization of mortars' aggregate and binder components was performed, and the binder was identified as portland cement.

Repair mortars/artificial stone for restoration of biodetritic limestones
Tišlová, R. ; Novotná, Adéla
This study deals with the properties of repair mortars for two types of biodetritic limestones from Kutná Hora and St. Margarethen (Austria). The binder of the mixtures was based on natural hydraulic lime (NHL), which has good processability and fits to optical properties of the substrates. Properties of repair mortars were modified by the type of aggregate (crushed rock, normalized quartz sand and mixture of aggregates). The artificial stone samples were characterized by means of the microstructure description and measurement of selected physical and mechanical properties.
The determination of material characteristics of natural and artificial stone samples from Marian Column at Hradčany Square in Prague
Slížková, Zuzana ; Zeman, Antonín ; Petráňová, Veronika ; Viani, Alberto ; Pérez-Estébanez, Marta ; Frankeová, Dita ; Ševčík, Radek ; Mácová, Petra ; Janotová, Dana ; Hasníková, Hana ; Niedoba, Krzysztof ; Hauková, Petra
Within the survey before restoration intervention material properties of natural and artificial stones that are part of the Marian Column at Hradcany Square in Prague were determined. 15 samples were subjected to extensive instrumental analysis, whose output is not only chemical and mineralogical composition of the samples, but also the degree of degradation including a description of the porous system and the level of salinity.
