Design of steel-concrete arch structure of footbridge over the river Svratka
Vraňanová, Veronika ; Marván, David (referee) ; Nečesal, Petr (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis was to project a design of arch bridge‘s framework over the Svratka river. This single-span bridge has the span of 52,5m. The framework is constructed from a pair of beams, suspended from the pair of beams bent towards each other. The bridge deck is coupled with steel crosspieces. The construction design was executed in computing programme Dlubal RFEM 5.07. The individual components of the framework were assessed in Microsoft Excel. The calculation considered the load of wind and pedestrians’ movement and their effect on the dynamics of the construction. The phases of development were also considered. Assessments of coupled cross-section, main beams of steel construction, tension systems and selected construction joints were executed in a static calculation. Moreover, a design of a bearing and a bridge plug joint. Finally, a drawing documentation and a final report were prepared in regards with the requirements. The construction design and its assessment were executed according to valid standards.
Railway bridge with steel load-carrying structure
Šarmanová, Iveta ; Melcher, Jindřich (referee) ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
The subject of master’s thesis is a structural analysis of a bearing structure of an existing historical single-track railway bridge over the Vltava river in a direction from Prague Modřany to Vrané nad Vltavou. The riveted steel bridge carries rail traffic across five fields. A part of the master’s thesis is focused on a disposal of a variant of the longest field by using a modern arch construction.
The structure of a sport hall in Opava
Měchura, Marek ; Buchta, Stanislav (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was the design and assessment of the supporting structure of the sports hall in Opava. An arch-shaped structure with plan dimensions of 38 x 55 m and a height of 15 m was chosen. The structure is designed from glued laminated timber, solid timber and steel. Steel was mainly used for connetcing elements. Statically, the arch acts as a three-jointed beam. Transverse links formed by arched trusses are spaced 5 m apart. The stability of the trusses is ensured by the purlins together with the transverse bracings.
