Comprehensive physiotherapeutic care of a patient after ankle fracture
Eichler, Jakub ; Reckziegelová, Petra (advisor) ; Těšitelová, Pavlína (referee)
Author: Jakub Eichler Title of the thesis: Comprehensive physiotherapeutic care of a patient after ankle fracture Objectives: First, to summarize theoretically the problems of ankle fracture including its anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of the ankle joint and the possibilities of treatment and subsequent rehabilitation. And then narrate a case report of the complex care of a patient after a fracture of the ankle joint in a special section. Methods: In the theoretical one, the anatomy of the tibia and foot, kinesiology and biomechanics of the foot in the gait cycle, changes in gait stereotype due to ankle fracture, classification of ankle fractures and possible treatment approaches and aspects of follow- up care are presented. The special section then contains a complete case study of a patient after ankle fracture, including initial and outcome kinesiological analysis, description of the different therapeutic units and evaluation of the effect of therapy, which is confronted with current scientific knowledge in the discussion. Results: The case report showed improvement in most of the functionally relevant aspects with the most noticeable improvement in gait when comparing the results of the initial and final examination. Conclusion: The content of the thesis fulfils the set objectives and...
The comparison of principal demographic data of patients surgically treated for tibial diaphysis fracture and ankle fracture
Špaček, Michal ; Košťál, Roman (advisor)
At the beginning of the work there are described the most important anatomical structures in the observed locations of the both compared types of fractures The second part is divided in more chapters and it the traumatological introduction for the diaphyseal and angle fractures issue. This part is beginning with the basic partition to the further specialization on diagnostics, classification, therapy and healing focused on the tibial and ankle part. The single demographic data for the both types of fractures is described in the third part. In the last chapter there is the comprehension of the most important data of diaphyseal tibial and ankle fracture.
Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of status post osteosynthesis of lateral ankel
Smolová, Petra ; Hnátová, Iva (advisor) ; El Ali, Zaher (referee)
Name of bachelor`s thesis: Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of status post osteosynthesis of lateral ankel Author: Petra Smolová Objective: The aim of this study was to give comprehensive information on the basic form of ankle fractures, their treatment options and develop a case of a patient with this diagnosis. Method: The work is a form of retrieval processing of the issue of external ankle fractures, and is divided into general and special. The general part is divided into various sections and subsections that describe the basic anatomical knowledge of the lower leg, ankle and foot. Is outlined here ankle kinesiology and basic biomechanical aspects. Another part of the general part deals with the classification of fractures, their complications and surgical solutions and specifically fractures of the external ankle, possibilities of their treatment and rehabilitation. A special section deals with the case report patient after internal fixation of the external ankle fractures, respectively rehabilitation process during the 4-week work experience in Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu in Vysočany. Contains the patient anamnestic data, differential balance sheet, the entrance examinations, suggested the short-term and long-term treatment plan, schedule of therapeutic...

Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with distal fracture of tibia and fibula of right ankle Goal: The goal of this thesis is to point out the importance of the physiotherapy rehabilitation after a fracture. The patient I chose is a man of 31 years old with a comminuted fracture of distal tibia and fibula of the right leg after a motorcycle accident. I am going to focus on the anatomical structure of the ankle joint. In order to treat the patient, it is imperative to have a basic anatomical knowledge of the structure in question. Methods: In the first part, I am going to explain the anatomy and pathologies of the ankle joint. In the second part I am going to focus on the part of the physiotherapist and the assessment plan (initial kinesiology examination and examination conclusion). And then I will lay out my therapy proposal for the short term and long term plan. In the therapy proposal, the different treatment methods and techniques are included. At the end of each session, an evaluation assessment is made in order to quantify the progress. Finally, after the last session (11th), I am doing the final kinesiological examination. And finally I conclude with comparing the initial from the final kinesiological examination. Result: After daily sessions for 11 days, using...
Case Study of a Physiotherapy Treatment of a patient with Ankle fracture
Alkhowildi, Salman Abdulmohsin S ; Kučerová, Ilona (advisor) ; Mahr, Edwin (referee)
ANKLE FRACTURE Abstract Title: A Case- Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient who has experienced ankle fracture in his right leg. Goal: The main objective of this thesis is the discuss all information related to ankle fracture along with the rehabilitation plan to recover the ankle fracture, which will be discussed in the theoretical and practical section of this thesis. The theoretical part highlights the historical information, lower extremities anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of the ankle joint, different injury types and the rehabilitation plan. The clinical picture and the etiology of this fracture along with specific tests for ankle fractures will also be discussed. The practical part presents a male patient case study that recently experienced ankle fracture. Methods: The rehabilitation process of this patient majorly focused on the use of isometric exercises, soft tissue techniques, sensorimotoric exercises and muscle stretching and strengthening. It included a total of 8 therapy sessions where each session lasted for 30 minutes to 60 minutes along with two additional sessions where the initial and final kinesiologic examinations were performed. Results: During these two weeks of rehabilitation, the patient demonstrated considerable improvement in his ankle condition and had increased...
